Quote:Green Bay - Expect running back Ryan Grant (hamstring) to be listed as questionable when the injury report comes out Friday -- and at this point he's far from a sure thing to play Sunday against the Detroit Lions.
He hasn't been on the sidelines for practice this week for planned rest. He has been rehabbing his hamstring and will test it Friday. If that doesn't go well, he won't play against the Lions.
"That's probably a good question for tomorrow," coach Mike McCarthy said when asked if there was concern Grant won't be able to play. "I know Ryan wants to play, and his communication will be that he'll want to play, I'm sure. But once he practices tomorrow, the information from how he feels Saturday morning factors into it, and Pat McKenzie, Ted and I will make a decision."
The good news is that backup Brandon Jackson (concussion) should be cleared this afternoon. Kregg Lumpkin is also ready should Grant not be able to go.
In other injury news, S Aaron Rouse sprained an ankle during practice but said he's fine. And LB Brandon Chillar had a back spasm but said he will practice Friday. I'm not too thrilled hearing about Rouse. I think we'll need him with the Lions big WR tandem. |

A sprain? He'll be fine. I am not really worried about anything. Time for people to step up! I can't wait to see the battles!

Geez........guys are dropping like flies already. Grant signed the big contract, and he's hurt. I'm afraid this will be an all season problem. |

Same here.. Even though they are "minor" injuries, they still make ya worry. |

I do want to see the pack have a mainly passing game sometime, but this definitely isnt the right one to do it on with the weak lions run-D, we need grant for this one. I never really liked jackson that much (sorry guys) i dont know what i dont like about him, i just never see him as a strong runner, im sure there are some players where he ran well, you dont need to post them i believe you, but i dont know, i guess i just dont like him that much. |

Ugh.
I guess that's to be expected when you don't get any time in preseason to play. |

I think Jackson and Lumpkin can handle the Lions. Their D-Line is horrible and LBs are not that great (Sims is quite good though). |

we play the friggin lions. Agreed. It's not like we're playing an NFL team here. Give Lumpkin some carries. Heck, start him. Jackson's got a concussion. |
My man Donald Driver (thanks to Pack93z for the pic) 2010 will be seen as the beginning of the new Packers dynasty. |

if we had done the smart thing, and signed a RB who didn't have a brain, we wouldn't have a RB with a concussion right now. |
