This is getting pretty ridiculous. One of the more bizarre Favre related stories I've come across.

Is Favre Goat Story the G.O.A.T.?

Quote:
I know you've read a lot of "woman takes car into repairman, only for him to find a goat in the trunk" yarns in your time. But this one's different. Promise. Scout's honor.

For instance, this woman openly tells the repairman that the goat is in her trunk and that she plans to slaughter it when she arrives at home. Usually it goes that the guy just haphazardly stumbles upon the trunk goat and the detainer of the goat has to come up with an impromptu and often improbable excuse. Not this lady. She just lays it all out there.

So that's a little different.

Oh yeah, and then there's this little wrinkle:

Quote:
The goat had been painted purple and gold - the colors for the Minnesota Vikings. Shaved into its side was the No. 4 - the number of Brett Favre, who made his Vikings debut Friday night in a preseason game in the Twin Cities.

The goat was lying on its side, tied at its feet. [Mechanic James] Prusci said it had some pretty big horns.

The workers closed the trunk - they couldn't have a goat wandering around the shop. But when they checked on the animal later, it wasn't moving as much.

They called animal control.

Long story short: the Favre goat was spared from certain sacrificial fan-related death by police and animal rescue officials and is now again allowed to wander freely through fields and grow facial hair just like the human Favre. So this would all be a glorious happy ending except that Brett Favre is still back and playing in the NFL. But at least no livestock will be killed in his name. Only the already withered dreams of Vikings fans.

Judging by the white reflection in the water, I'm going to have to say that was a photoshop job.

Doesn't exactly mean the story isn't true, just that nobody actually took a picture so someone decided to just photoshop one. Or the story is bullshit. To be honest, I don't care either way lol.

Yup. There are some more serious reports as well, like on this Minnesota news site.

Ok, I don't get it.

Was it animal crualty to paint the Goat? (after all, we do still brand animals)

Or was it just cruel to paint it purple and gold?

beast (4h) : Yeah it's weird, if anything goes wrong the defense and OL get blamed, even if passing game fault
hardrocker950 (6h) : But I put it mostlt on the offense and poor playcalling
hardrocker950 (6h) : I have seen the defense take a lot of flak over the loss..
Cheesey (7h) : Rodgers would have hit open guys. The game plan wouldn't have killed us. Less 3 and outs, and maybe some scores.
beast (7h) : Rodgers wouldn't of abandon attepting to get the ball to Nelson and Adams.
Zero2Cool (8h) : Rodgers with that game plan would have came up short too.
beast (9h) : Yeah the Packers defense got wore out... being on the field so long. Giving longer breathers than 3&out would of helped a lot IMO.
Cheesey (10h) : There wouldn't have been so many 3 and outs, thus keeping our D off the field.
Cheesey (10h) : True, but with the low score we would have had a chance with Rodgers behind center.
Zero2Cool (10h) : Brees is a damn good QB, not giving Capers a pass, not even close.
Zero2Cool (10h) : Saints kicked Packers ass with Rodgers too.
Cheesey (10h) : That's just it. Rodgers needs a DEFENSE as well. And without him, there is NO chance.
beast (11h) : Just fire everyone! Rodgers can do it without them! Hell trade for the healthy Browns players!
Cheesey (13h) : Capers needs to GO. So do players that can't cut it.
Zero2Cool (14h) : Capers presser summed up? INjuries are why we suck. (shut up, coach and adapt)
Zero2Cool (14h) : nearly crapped myself hearing dom capers talk, forgot to close the tab after mccarthy haha
Zero2Cool (14h) : McCarthy said the communication was not good enough on defense yesterday. Injuries in secondary have complicated substitution patterns.
Zero2Cool (14h) : McCarthy again says "I believe in him"... sorry, BS, we saw how you believe in him yesterday.
Zero2Cool (15h) : @The_Green_Gold Highest graded players Kenny Clark & Blake Martinez. It wouldn't be possible to grade an entire defense
Porforis (15h) : Well, it WAS clean until someone 'shouted' in it...
Zero2Cool (15h) : QB Brett Hundley when targeting a WR against Saints: 6-for-15, 54 yards.
Zero2Cool (15h) : clean?
