When we'd play another team, they'd always say that "brett will give you an opportunity for two - three interceptions a game, you have to capitalize on those mistakes"

That bugged the crap out of me because they were right. Brett would do that. It's something that most of us liked about Brett that he was a risk taker.

There wasnt anything that upset set me that Brett ever did, he was an honest, good hearted, say it like it was person, not to many people around like that these days.

Sure he isnt perfect, none of us are! He is genuine, what you see is what you get. Not to mention everything that he has done and went through in the public eye. I loved that he is a risk taker, that was the excitement about him playing football, no other QB can match that.

Great post Zero!!

You also forgot to mention how those same teams said that they fear him because he will take chances and burn them. But i remember sitting here during the championship game going please Brett don't throw an int (right before he did) but he takes those risks when things arent going right. Thats what made him the greatest stats qb of all-time

I didn't forget. The title of the thread is one thing that upset me about Brett. Not things I liked about Brett or ... nm.

You are right. The flip side to it was how they feared him because those chances that seemed slim to none, he'd take and make them look silly stupid.

I'm not blind, the guy wasn't perfect and I'm not going to say that throws like the one in Philly didn't upset me or some of the other ones. It's impossible to not be upset by some of the things he's done and heck even said over the years. Unless you just have some unconditional love affair with the man. :P

I think Brett's had a few high int years but overall I think he's known for throwing int's more for their bad timing then how many. If you look at last year he was no worse then any other of the QB's (except for Brady) for int's. No one thinks of Peyton being a pick machine and yet he oly threw one less the Brett last year

John Elway - 1.3 TD per interception
Joe Namath - .78 TD per interception
Troy Aikman - 1.17 TD per interception

Brett Favre - 1.54 TD per interception

It's all relative.

+1.

That's the thing. With risk comes reward. Same applies to football that applies to investing that applies to meeting the opposite sex.

BF was aggressive. Sometimes that lost us games. I won't argue that. more often than not though, he gave us opportunities to win games. And BF will retire with the most wins ever.

Nonstopdrivel (1h) : Everything goes wrong at once. Nobody wants to help me, and I'm dying!
Zero2Cool (8h) : Zone defenses always must answer this question: is it better to invest in top CBs, or better to invest in pass rushers who can make a CB’s job easier?
Zero2Cool (8h) : Packers giving away $500 Pro Shop gift card and 11 2018 Official Draft Caps

Zero2Cool (15h) : I thought Sat/Sun was great. You make a weekend of it. Have buddies over, cookout, etc.
TheKanataThrilla (16h) : During the afternoons I tend to get caught up in family routines. I don't mind that for the later rounds.
TheKanataThrilla (16h) : I now take Friday off work. It is a bit annoying, but I do find it fun at night as I can crack a few beers and enjoy. Sucks if they trade out of the first round though.
wpr (24-Apr) : I liked the Sat Sun version.
beast (23-Apr) : HELL YEAH! ... the draft was SOOOO MUCH BETTER in the ol Saturday/Sunday format... only people that I've heard disagree are those that don't really follow the draft and just random get updates on thei
beast (23-Apr) : Key word there is "proven"... not if they're true, but if you can prove it. Jerry Jones said the same thing for Greg Hardy, it wasn't "proven".
Zero2Cool (23-Apr) : Flat out honesty from 49ers GM
Zero2Cool (23-Apr) : John Lynch: “if these charges are proven true, if Reuben did hit this young lady, he won’t be part of our organization moving forward.”
Smokey (23-Apr) : 49ers / Bye Week / Rams
