So true. And because Favre opened his mouth, all the critics in the world are going to be collectively chanting for his head and no one will pay attention that Chilly is the idiot here, not Favre.

Tis better to be thought a fool, then to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

It's should be what's expected of Favre, though. 17 years of him doing this.. and people think it's gonna change now?! HA!

I'll say it again as I've said for years. One of the things we all most enjoy about Brett is his openness, and it's also one of his biggest down falls.

By your theory, if someone robs a bank, bah, let them, its what they always do we should be used to it.

I guess you just skimmed another article?

Quote:
It doesn't matter that you're right and Chilly is an idiot

The writer has said Chilly was an idiot..

The issue is not if he was right in staying in, but why bring it up in the media to give people a reason to bad mouth him

It's the thing that has always annoyed me the most about him, because it's a patent ploy for attention and an attempt to wrap the media and public perception around his finger. The same guy who was telling homespun stories to the media was cruising around downtown Green Bay with his boys acting like an asshole (and I heard this from people in Green Bay as long ago as the 90s). I'd rather he kept his mouth shut. Gods are supposed to be mysterious.

Yes, of course, you're different, you're special. We get it.

I think his openness let us feel closer to him, in the light that we were somewhat like him. He had his failures, mistakes, etc ... and kept fighting to over come them with hard work. His openness opened the door for us to see him as a blue collar type of person, which is an accurate description of most Wisconsin people.

I'm sure your next reply will contain four words that I will need to look up on Dicitonary.com that explain how how my opinion is wrong and doesn't match you one bit. NonStopPredictable. :)

How come when I talk to someone like this, I'm labeled and asshole, but you get away with it, by putting a smiley face down.

Pick and choose whom you are an asshole to. Make sure they can handle it and have a moderate grasp of your comments intention. There's a few here who understand that even when it appears I'm being an asshole, I'm not. Shawn, Dave and Rourke are a few who I feel understand that even when it may seem like I'm going off on a tirade, I'm more or less just rambling, kind of like now, and not to take it seriously.

I also wouldn't say I get 'away' with it though and I do get labeled and asshole. :) or no :)

As long as you say, "with all due respect" you can say whatever you want. Its in the Geneva Convention:

Smokey (3h) : They were chicken livers, and they are fabulous . LOL
uffda udfa (4h) : Not if Matt Ryan puts up a 40 passer rating. :) The last two were unfavorable conditions. This is dome time.
Cheesey (4h) : Smokey, went to fire up the crock pot to slow cook some chicken gizzards, it burned out!
Zero2Cool (4h) : Aaron Rodgers' passer rating in his 4 career games at the Georgia Dome: 114.5, 136.8, 117.0, 125.5.
Zero2Cool (8h) : from Rob Reischel @robreischel
Zero2Cool (8h) : Rodgers has played in 2 NFC Championship games. QB ratings were 56.7 and 55.9. That's won't cut it Sunday
Porforis (9h) : Have to fill the 24/7 news cycle with something.
Smokey (9h) : True, Zero
Zero2Cool (9h) : Rodgers didn't draw it up, it was selected from options. Duh.
uffda udfa (11h) : Zeke Elliott tired of domestic violence investigation. NFL moving forward now.

uffda udfa (20h) : The hug on the sidelines?
uffda udfa (20h) : What seemed so emotional?
Zero2Cool (21h) : No, but I am curious why that seemed so emotional. I might be reading into it too much.
uffda udfa (21h) : Anyone ever get confused looking at Alex Van Pelt thinking it's MM?
uffda udfa (22h) : I hope they aren't going to dial it down believing in destiny .

uffda udfa (16-Jan) : They'll need all the Julio Joneses they can get.
Zero2Cool (16-Jan) : Chmura: "I'll tell you this: Atlanta's going to score 40 points. They are. The #Packers are going to have to score 41."
Zero2Cool (16-Jan) : Damn-Falcons coach Dan Quinn tells reporters that WR Julio Jones (foot) will be limited this week but will be “ready to rock” on Sunday.
Zero2Cool (16-Jan) : Packers defense has a red zone INT in each of the last 3 games... Hyde with two of them. (One being the clutch 4thQ INT vs DET in Week 17)
Zero2Cool (16-Jan) : Randall Cobb, Damarious Randall, Quentin Rollins, James Starks, Clay Matthews, Ty Montgomery & Jared Cook. OUT
Zero2Cool (16-Jan) : Packers inactive list when they lost 33-32 to the Falcons week 8.
Zero2Cool (16-Jan) : There is no emphasis, it's just a little bit of info. Take it or leave it. No harm.
Smokey (16-Jan) : Zero, I believe that you and some others place too much emphasis upon data. no harm intended.
