We'll be moving to phpNuke, that's been decided.

What do you like about PH that you'd like to see on the new site? No answer is stupid and if anyone says otherwise, they will be gone. This is important because if there's a feature here that is not wanted why waste the time bringing it over to the new site?

Here's the "new" site, sort of.
New.PackersHome.com

What's here, that is not there, that you want ... there?

Understand? lol

I think applause should be ported over. New style is a bit different but not radically so. For the shoutbox, I would prefer scrollbars personally (I hate all things automatic).

Will we have the ability to have the grey background with black print option...I find it hard to read against the green background "default"?

I too would like applause carried over....though I wouldn't mind a +100 "inadvertent bump to my applause so I could break into the top 10. :)

I really don't see the Applause ( err should I say +1 ) feature being brought over. It was a failed experiment and will be replaced with one that's hopefully more gooder!

what about a short cut link to move between the forums? Now we have to go back to the index to move from packer chat to babble or the other places.

Both software have this. At the bottom, you'll see a drop down menu that is prefixed with "Jump To", you can hop to whichever forum ya'd like to. :)

You'll be glad to know the new software has smileys in quick reply.

I have always thought there should be some kind of aplication to vote for a "Comment Of The Month" and or "Response of The Year."

Members here come up with some great stuff. It would be great if it could be tracked in some way.

It is still all good.

I like the stationary shout box on the original PH, where you can always see what the newest addition is instead of waiting for the loop. Looks good though, very sleek.

Also, I like seeing the "rank" and applause points for the members..... Zero, what makes you say that the "applause" was a failed experiment? I think most people like to know that their comments are appreciated, which the applause application does superbly.

The suggestions for new features are appreciated, however, the main goal is to bring over the main features of this current site to the new one, then expand on the new one.

Adding new features is why the switch from DragonFly CMS to phpNuke. I personally feel phpNuke offers more options for improvement, since DF is basically dead.

Keep the comments/suggestions coming, thank you.

I didn't see a link on the forum board for gameday chat. I assume it will be added when we convert.

I like that my post in both quick reply and regular reply has spell check. I don't know if that is your site or my computer but I like it.

Well, my big thing would be performance. If there's a performance boost with the new site, then it's a good thing.

If I could say my absolute biggest criticism with the current site - it would be performance. There were times when ph.com was painfully slow.

I think the slow was because of the previous host. Since the middle to late December, it should be better. The first few days of this year should have been slower because of the Google Analytics, but that's fixed now. The site should be performing well.

Attached are the necessary files.

I would love to be able to discuss slighter wider NFL topics in the main Packers forum. I enjoy talking about other NFL teams, particularly in the offseason but throughout the year too.

I can never be bothered to click through to the NFC North section or the General NFL discussion section and post things, in part because they dont seem very busy or well used sections. For me it's just much simpler to have one forum in which to track new posts etc. I don't have the time to keep on top of three message boards along with all the other NFL websites I read. If someone posted something about another team which I'm not interested in I would just ignore that thread.

Anyway, just thought I'd throw that out there.

Cool Cool. Looking for things that the current PH site has that we want to be in the new PH. After that's concluded, we'll then work on improvements, which again is why we're switching software. The new software provides a larger platform for more gooder additions.
