Ohhh, I have never been to a color fight before. I wonder what I should wear? |

I haven't checked the OED (I'm lazy, sue me), but I have to believe that the word predates Webster by a century or two. Also, a lot of "settling down to a single spelling" is a fairly new phenomenon....well into the eighteenth century, and before America even existed, "proper spelling" was a yet to come innovation for many many words. |
None of the above. It wouldn't have been a wasted vote. Obama and Romney -- Those were the wasted votes. |

No, I am saying the English themselves spelled color without the "u" before the alternate spelling emerged. All of these contested "-or" words -- color, honor, labor, etc. -- were borrowed directly from the Latin without the "u." It was sheer snobbery and ostentation that lead the British later to Anglicise them with a "u" in order to make the words seem "more British." A notable exception to this rule is glamour, which came out of the French, if I am not mistaken. It is no coincidence that both the British and the Americans still spell it with the "u." |

Hi Kevin,
First of all, congratulations on the new site, i'm still feeling my way around it but it seems just as presentable and concise as the last.
I like the fact you kept pretty much the same template, save a few tweaks. Gameday chat looks great! |

I want to know what the little circle thing is next to the user names. And why are some red and some white?
Why is there both the thank system and the thumbs up or down system... I think it might be nice to be able to go back and see which commits you were given a thumbs up and/or down for... I see that system is already in place for thanks.
When in the forums I find it a bit annoying that when I click the subject link it takes me to the first page, when I'm used to clicking them and it takes me to the last page. Not a big deal just a small little thing that annoys me... just need to remember to click to the last page link instead...

The red dot shows you the user is online, the white dot means they are offline. |

I'm still debating on what to do with those online/offline graphics. Recolor them, replace them, remove the feature all together... |

I do find the red/white a bit confusing. I always interpret the red as "offline," even though I know what it is supposed to mean. |

When your in a recording studio or radio stations, the red light goes on when in use. Same with some doctor stuff when something is in use a red light on the outside goes on. As well as the old photographic develop stations when they did it by hand. But as for the colors I just don't like the red, it makes me think negative points or "in the red" as the phase is by losing or what ever. (though I do think the red looks better than the pink of negative thumbs down counter) Edited by member Tuesday, June 21, 2011 10:58:37 AM(UTC)
