So, at this point, what do you think our biggest needs are?
I think our D-line is the biggest concern. I would not be unhappy if we addressed this with some of our fun money. |

Depth at defensive tackle and to get healthy. Those two things would help us quite a bit. |

I think we need to improve our OL and DL play. Our OL has some injuries (Sitton, Wells). Colledge isnt consistent. Barbre doesnt have enough experience. So if spitz has to play center because Wells is out we will have a problem at guard with either barbre or sitton having to start.
DT doesn't have a lot of depth especially now that Harrel is on the PUP list.
I also agree that the defense needs one of the leaders to step up the intensity and spark the rest of the D. |

:neutral: If I were to worry now it would definitely be our "D" line. Lack of intensity and inability to stop runs and get to QB. Hope this is just pre-season vanilla shows but, certainly wouldn't hurt to have another DT with some get go. |

i would be very very surprised if we signed anyone now. 1. O-lineman takes sooooo long to gel, i don't think Ted Thompson would feel that signing a new guy would pay off. 2. DL would not take as long to gel, but i'd say it would take about 6 weeks. and in 6 weeks, hopefully harrell can contribute, so a new d lineman would only start contributing about the same time as harrell comes back. |

Im not worried about our D line. Heres why: Ryan Pickett gets healthy..Those probablems become a lot smaller. Dropped passes is what concerns me. I know they are just a lack of concentration..But that is a drive killer, and more importantly a game killer..When you drop passes like they have been. Thats gotta get solved. But the nice thing is that there are no glaring weaknesses on this team. Good deal.

Defensive Line and backup QB but I don't expect anything happening now. I'm sure we'll see something happen when teams including the Packers have to cut it down to 53 guys but the Packers aren't going to get any big name players or anything in my opinion. |
