I only track unique visitors, anyone who comes in, differentiated by unique IP. I refresh the page a hundred times a day, that doesn't mean anything.
I eliminate my IP's and set a one hour limit to count a unique a second time. This way, you know who is coming and coming back, not flying by or refreshing. All page views tell you is that people are going into topics, which they should, because this is a forum.
Count uniques, it's the only way to remain objective. But, you don't get the astronomical numbers to throw out. |
