Why? I'm dying to see how well Graham Harrell would do running this offense.

Cam deserves it. He's the best player who ever played the game. Aaron is great, don't get me wrong. He's just not as good as Cam. Cam's even better than Brett Favre.

To hear of Packer fans voting against Rodgers for the Madden cover irritates me to no end. The "Madden curse" is complete crap. Rodgers came close to being on the cover last year, and if he was on the Madden 12 cover, they would have blamed the loss at Kansas City (ruining the perfect season) and the loss to the NY Giants on the "curse".
Aaron Rodgers himself,
"I don't like losing and I don't believe in the curse". He wants Packers fans to vote for him, so let's do it!
For those who do believe in the "Madden curse" have a read of this and see if it changes your opinion in any way:

If Aaron Rodgers lands on the cover of Madden '13? I'd go an buy it just for that reason alone.

Toddy is wrong. First off, the Madden 'curse' truely started with Vick.

May Brett Favre come out of retirement and win back his starting job for the Vikings.

I don't know this to be true without researching, but I heard it started with Barry Sanders because he retired shortly after being on the Madden cover.
Edit, one site says Garrison Hearst was the first after his awesome '98 season??
Madden 99 - Garrison Hearst - Missed both '99 and '00 seasons completely due to injury.
Madden 2000 - Barry Sanders (in the background) - Retired after '98 season
Madden 2000 - Dorsey Levens (one version) - Played only 5 games in '00
Madden 2001 - Eddie George - '01 season, 939 yards, 5 TD's
Madden 2002 - Daunte Culpepper - decent '02 season, for his standards
Madden 2003 - Marshall Faulk - missed 5 games in '03 season
Madden 2004 - Michael Vick - missed several games during '03 season
Madden 05 - Ray Lewis
Madden 06 - Donovan McNabb
Madden 07 - Shaun Alexander
Madden 08 - Vince Young
Madden 09 - Brett Favre
Madden 10 - Larry Fitzgerald/Troy Polamalu
Madden 11 - Drew Brees
Madden 12 - Peyton Hillis
Look up their seasons after being on the cover. Eek.
Edit2, tried adding their season summary while on cover, but Michael Vick confused me. He was put on the cover after playing less than half the '03 season?

Now you made me feel bad...
Tell ya what, my cheese infested amigo, if Rodgers wins and is on the cover and the Madden curse comes true...I shall buy you another bottle of that fine scotch.
For having the Packers go down the shitter, 400 dollars would be the best money ever spent....beats the hell out of 250 bucks for some worthless paper, aka
"Packer Stock"
bwaahaaaaa........[roflmao]

Good research. I literally was in rush to get out the door so I didn't have time to post much less do any real research. I mainly posted to instigate and rib Toddy.
Anyway, you are mostly right.. but I don't recall anyone actually using the Madden game cover as a 'curse' until Vick. Before Vick it was mostly a mirage rather than a trend. Obviously now it's a trend. Not to say I actually BELIEVE that there is a 'curse', but the fact that it's so pop culture now plants that bug into athletes heads, which may or may not affect how they play and/or if they get hurt/have poor performances.
I just simply find it to be a very odd coincidence that the athletes we see on the Madden cover tend to have some sort of blowback the following year(s).

I think many athletes who have a fairly great year tend to follow it up with a less than great year ... mainly because people "figure" them out and the other team rallies around the whole "dont let him beat us!" mantra.
