Senate is still doing amendments.. Will be a loong night it seems. These clowns don't know their ass from their elbows (yes, there are a very small fraction who are being reasonable).

Lick my taint, Troy. :P

That said, the Senate voted for the amended bill and voted in favor, 38-28. Needed 34 votes. The next legislation on docket is tomorrow it hits conference committee for further amendments to bridge the gap between the House version of the bill and the Senate version. Once they are finished, as early as Thursday it goes through both chambers for final votes.

Didn't read the latest in this thread, but i just wanted to mention many of the hours the senate used tonight were spent adding amendments, then removing them. or removing amendments, and then putting them back. apparently they did that twice tonight.

They spent 10 hours doing it. I know because I watched about 5 hours of it (had to work in the middle of the debate).

I guess there's a correction... They will be wrapping up the conference committee this morning and the revised bill will start going through both chambers at 1pm. Sounds like they are really working to get this issue done BEFORE tomorrow (Thursday).

That will happen either way, as the Packer linebackers get to him!

The bill, after being revised late late last night by the conference committee, was passed by the House some time late last night/early this morning and passed by the Senate this afternoon. All it needs now is to be inked by the Governor and MPLS city council must vote to ok their portion of the bill (a mock vote passed sometime last few weeks I'm told). Technically it isn't over yet, but basically all that's left is formalities. I'm still waiting for the rug to be yanked out from underneath me.. I mean, I AM a Viking fan after all.

That said, I saw this hilarious picture:
