So I was able to listen to the PA Show today at work as I was just doing maintenance and not driving the forklifts around and he got on the subject of which division in the NFL has the best QBs.
I didn't catch all of the bit, but I know he made a strong point for the NFC North.
1) A. Rodgers. Dur. Most coveted QB in the NFL. 2) M. Stafford. Underrated and undervalued, especially when healthy. Top 5-10, easy. 3) J. Cutler. Has his moments of 'WTF is THAT?!', but when he's on, he can QB the best of them. 4) C. Ponder. Now, PA and others close to the program think the Vikings will be far better than their 3-13 record from last year, and their key cog to that argument is Ponder's success. They all believe he'll be far better this year with a real, FULL offseason under his belt and with the offensive system in it's 2nd year as well. The CBA hold out compounded the learning curve and put the Vikings in that much more of a meat grinder than most teams last year.
That all said, while I'm still holding my reservations for Ponder and the Vikings, Even with the other 3 QBs in our division, PA made a great case.
What say you guys? |

You listen to Pennsylvania? I'd say this is the best group of QB's within a division. NFC SouthDrew Brees Cam Newton Matt Ryan Josh Freeman Edited by member Thursday, September 6, 2012 12:08:22 PM(UTC)

I think those rankings are right on, pretty obvious choices really. I've only seen Ponder in his game against the Pack and a few highlights here and there. However, I saw his interview before the season and can't deny that he's a leader unlike Jay Cutler, Donovan Mcnabb, Sanchez, and others. I think Ponder will earn the respect of his team, but I don't think he'll have a lights out year or be considered a top tier QB for a while. I really haven't seen enough of him but I think he has a high ceiling (all this depends on the coaching and team they place around him which imo aren't gonna help him reach his potential).
