that would be unprecedented, however Agreed. I can't see that power ever being used except in the case of something many factors more obvious and severe than this. Such as a ball being passed, clearly bouncing off the ground a couple times a yard away from someone, the WR picking it up and it being ruled a TD. Or in a situation like this game, if one of the refs were found to have bet against the Packers and there was other evidence of intentional discrimination. That is a huge can of worms to open, as sick as this game makes me, I don't blame the commish for not opening it (presumably). |

easley is a highschool / juco ref
his call overruled the ref who ruled it a touchback. |

I really, really want to hear the justification for the call being upheld by Howard Slavin, someone who is NOT a replacement ref but a permanent NFL employee that made the decision on the booth review. |

In other words, the official should never have gone under the hood in the first place. The booth reviewer probably realized this error and knew the play had to be upheld. |
