The good thing is our rookies are all go with the "next man up mentality". It will now be McMillian's time to shine here and take advantage of the coaching he can get from Woodson on the sideline. The injury is a huge concern but so far the Packers have shown they have someone to step in if a starter is injured. You don't see much of that around the league today. |

Jarret Bush will be The Packers DPOY!!!!!!! Lord help us!!! Packers getting real young real fast in the defensive backfield. Hopefully they are just to young to realize they're not suppose to be able to do the job. Next Man Up. |

Teamwork is what the Green Bay Packers were all about. They didn't do it for individual glory. They did it because they loved one another. -Vince Lombardi |

If we are going to rely on Bush for anything in the defensive backfield. we are in real trouble, imo. Bring in the new guy. Bush couldn't cover a drunk fisherman fallin' out of the boat if Jarrett was the friggin' ocean. I still feel good. Maybe no more 3 man rush and other such silliness. |
damn skippy I'm an owner. I currently own a full .00001924537805515393 % of the Green Bay Packers. |

Just once can we catch a fucking break with the health of our players? One game without significant injuries? |

Does this mean we won't be getting all those defensive holding calls for 5 yards and a first down? I personally like when our young players get to cut their teeth. Fortunately, our offense is starting to play lights out again, so lets not get too emotional over our 36 year old slow, but smart safety having to sit out six weeks. |

Long as Shields isn't "more significant than previously disclosed." |
It's not whether you get knocked down, it's whether you get back up again. |

Charles Woodson on the sideline will be able to help the plethora of young defensive backs. This is a blessing in disguise, even though he's one of two favorite Packers.
Woodson will instruct the kids how to do things and then six weeks will expire and he'll say, ughh, here boys, watch daddy show ya how it's done for another Super Bowl run!! |

From an organizational standpoint it's a blessing in that it reveals just how valuable these players are to the team. With Cullen, we learned the hard way. With these two we learn the hard way, but with the potential of them returning and stop any bleeding from their absence, or we learn if their absense is really that important on the cusp of some important contractual decisions. |

Woodson may only have another season or so after this one with the Pack anyways, so this will give the team some longer term idea how good the defense will be without one of it's main veteran leaders for awhile. It's a good thing Ted Thompson spent pretty heavily on defensive depth in the draft, because we've sure needed it with the injuries the team has suffered so far. I don't forsee the team putting Woodson on IR because of this if he's only going to miss six weeks. |

Yeah, you know...this might be sacrilege but I was thinking this is unfortunate but possibly a blessing in disguise. Woodson's been in the league at least a year longer than I think he should be. He's been gambling constantly on "Not getting caught" since he can't stop "Getting beat" and I'll be curious to see what these younger, quicker guys are able to do. Woodson's too big a name to ever not start if he's healthy, even if it's his wisdom which trumps his ball play these days. |
