The good news.. it sounds like a sports hernia. From experience.. not the worst surgery in the world.

References my comment and where I got that from.

It would not be a season-ending operation, which suggests that sports hernia surgery could be on the table. That fits with Jennings’ trip to a specialist in those kinds of injuries in Philadelphia earlier this week and would help explain why rest has not done much of anything to alter Jennings’ outlook in recent weeks.

Good. Could use Gregorious in the Playoffs.

(And maybe a good performance by Gregorious + a deep Playoff run would change his mind about staying here).

Cedric Benson, Greg Jennings, Charles Woodson and who else that'll be coming back just in time to lock up a playoff seed and make a run for the thumb?

So, yesterday, as you guys all know, I went and sought out a second opinion, Dr. William Meyers out of Philadelphia. (He) kind of specializes in the abdominal groin area when it comes to what a patient needs or what’s going on with a patient. In my situation it’s an abdominal rectus abdominal tear. he way he described it to me was simply two people pulling on the end of a rope and it starts to fray and the more tugging, the more fraying, which means the more tearing occurs. That’s what I have going on. Two options: Either to inject or to get the surgery. I’m opting to get the surgery so I can be done with it. As far as the timeframe of how long the rehab and recovery will be, my body will tell me that. They give you ceratain time frames, one week, two weeks, three weeks, four weeks, whatever the case may be. But at the end of the day, it’s going to be determined whether I feel good or not is when I’m going to return back onto the football field. But not season-ending. Hopefully I can return before the season ends. We’ll see. But it’s not season-ending.

I’ll get it taken care of next Tuesday. 20, 25 minute procedure. Outpatient. I’ll be able to get up, walk out on my own and I’ll be back walking in the locker room and you guys will never know, on Wednesday.

This is Gregorious we are talking about. He could probably do the surgery himself.

The only thing that bugs me about this is that it wasn't found earlier. Hope he has a speedy recovery...

This really makes me weary of him getting re-signed, but I will still have some faith in Ted.

Actually, Gregorious fakes injuries so people will continue to mistake him for being mortal.

Jennings said that he expected to be back in the locker room on Wednesday after the 20-25 minute outpatient procedure, but wasn’t willing to attach himself to a timeline for getting back on the field when he announced his decision on Thursday.

Basically it's like hiking up his jeans...

Quote:
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that doctors expect him to be sidelined about three weeks. If that holds, Jennings could make his return on Nov. 25 against the Giants after missing two games beyond this week’s matchup with the Jaguars.

Fo' REALIO, this could impact:

Quote:
While Jennings regrets not getting the surgery earlier in the season, he said Thursday that he thinks he’s done enough to show teams what they’d get if they signed him to a contract.

“Free agency will take care of itself. Hopefully, I’ve put on film certain plays that I’m able to make and showcase my talents,” Jennings said. “Right now, I have to take care of myself and do what’s best for me.”

Whatever, GJ, long as we got JJ and JORDY NELSON, wait, what?

Quote:
The Packers might also be without Jordy Nelson, who will test his aching hamstring on Saturday, against the Jaguars this week.
