60 Minutes Aaron UpsetDid you all see this? I did. They did a real editing job on him. They made Aaron look highly sensitive and also made him look like he was not at all interested in meeting people or at his charity. Also his comments about the bounty scandal and Jerry Jones seemed off the cuff too. Aaron had a lot of Romney-esc moments in this interview. Not one of his best, but a hack job by 60 minutes nonetheless. |

Maybe, just MAYBE, he is a sensitive little bitch. I don't know. He's a great QB though. Glad he's on my team. EDIT: Sounded to me like they were just giving him shit. Although he himself made himself seem sensitive. Edited by member Friday, November 9, 2012 12:30:24 PM(UTC)

I would need to see the rest of the footage to say it was an editing job.
It did look like Clay and Greg were having some fun with the sensitive part.
I wonder if Rodgers is goofing with them about thier Hammy and Groin being sensitive. |

http://www.nfl.com/news/...-60-minutes-piece-on-himQuote:Aaron Rodgers isn't thrilled with the final cut of a "60 Minutes" segment that attempted to chronicle the life and times of the Green Bay Packers quarterback.
Rodgers was featured for 11 minutes on an episode that aired Sunday. He told ESPN Milwaukee this week he was beguiled by the editing of the piece.
"When you open up your life for four months and allow them to have access to your family and your friends and events, it's always interesting to see what comes out," Rodgers said. "I just felt like the editing of the piece could have been done in a way that was maybe a lot more respectful of myself."
The segment paints Rodgers as a somewhat sensitive creature. Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings was quoted during the piece saying, "You have to be careful what you say around him. He takes everything to heart."
Rodgers especially was upset that footage of him at a charity function to help fight childhood cancer landed on the cutting-room floor.
"For them to not even show really any of the content from that night, any of the kids, to not say anything about the (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer) Fund, what they do for kids with cancer, I think that was the thing that was most disappointing about the piece," Rodgers said. "They had an opportunity to do some great things and really show some things I am passionate about and didn't do that."
The era of Rodgers courting high-octane network news magazines appears over. |

Here is the segment for anyone who missed it. I just watched it for the first time, and I wasn't really a fan of the presentation. I agree with Rodgers that the editing could have been done in a way that was more respectful toward him. However, I did love the part where Greg and Clay were talking about him being sensitive. They were grinning and chuckling the entire time, and anyone who is halfway decent at picking up on social cues had to know that they weren't being serious. That bit actually made me laugh aloud. |

I agree that the Jennings and Clay segment was funny. No question, Rodgers reaction to the fan was silly when the guy said he was smaller than he thought and Rodgers responded, "I don't really appreciate that." I don't really care that he is a bit sensitive though. It was clear from many past interviews that he likes to keep to himself and I can relate to that. Thanks for posting the video link. |

I just watched, and was a little worried at first, didn't want him ending up being a douche like Cuntler, but it was all good. Ok, so he's sensitive about his height...I think it all comes back to that "chip on his shoulder" we're always talking about. Keep that chip, you Hobbit, and keep chuckin' TDs! |

"I just felt like the editing of the piece could have been done in a way that was maybe a lot more respectful of myself. If I'm sensitive about anything through the whole process, it's that they come to the MACC Fund event [a charity event that raises money for childhood cancer and blood disorders] in May, which is very, very important to me and even more important considering the two boys that we lost this year to cancer. For them to not even show really any of the content from that night, any of the kids, not say anything about the MACC Fund (or) what they do with kids with cancer, I think that was the thing that was most disappointing about the piece." Translation... I painful put up them for four months trying to advertise some of the good I'm doing in this world... and they only showed this bull |

Pretty safe bet that 60 minutes isn't getting a Christmas card. And yes... I grew in the beard for November, but I was ignorant to the Movember cause. Quote:Rodgers: ‘My personal life is my personal life’However, Rodgers does not shy away from being critical when he believes it's justified. He recently showed his frustration with the way CBS news magazine "60 Minutes" chose to edit its story on him. Instead of mentioning the MACC Fund, a childhood cancer research organization Rodgers gives plenty of his time to, "60 Minutes" focused much of its attention on his sensitivity about his height and other issues. As he met with the local media Wednesday, Rodgers was sporting a full mustache in support of Movember — an annual November event intended to raise awareness for early detection of cancer and to help battle the disease. When asked about his new facial hair growth, the quarterback used the opportunity to take another shot at "60 Minutes." "I just like this look, I do," Rodgers said. "Unlike some TV programs, any chance I can get to raise awareness about cancer, I'm going to do. That's why I'm choosing to wear this for now." |

I also heard him complaining about the edit job. Can't really blame the guy. 4 months, and that was what they came up with? You can be sure he won't EVER do that again. 60 minutes showed their true colors. "Hey, let's make Aaron Rodgers look like a douche!" (I wonder if Vikesrule works for 60 minutes in the editting departmaent???) |

Aaron took a pretty good shot at 60 minutes in his interview, think it was Tuesday or ednesday. He was asked about his style of mustache he was growing in support of breast cancer awareness( I think).
He answered
"I try to support these causes as much as possible, unlike some tv shows"
Not a word for word quote, but it I thought it was just the way Aaron handles these things.
Simple to the point and then he gave his "wrestling smile" and they moved on. |

buck - read Shawn's post just a couple above lol :P 60 Minutes executive producer Jeff Fager wrote:Aaron Rodgers was never taken out of context and most anybody portrayed as he was on 60 Minutes would have been flattered by the story. It was fair and accurate and it was obvious we got it right when we reported that he tends to be overly sensitive. I think Aaron said they edited the piece to suit their desire, not that it was taken out of context. |

I haven't watched 60 minutes in years.
No, make that decades.
IMO it's a "news institution" that has long outlived its usefulness.
But then again, most of TV news "reporting" and "analysis" is anything but, isn't it.
Because, ahem, 60 minutes "blazed the way".
Blazed the way to incompetence and uselessness.
IMO. |
None of the above. It wouldn't have been a wasted vote. Obama and Romney -- Those were the wasted votes. |
