Greg Jennings wants him to do it - link. If he passes Barry Sanderse 2,053, then I'd like to see Peterson get it. |

Anybody else find it peculiar that the Packers will be standing in the way of Peterson breaking that record and Jennings is rooting for it to happen? I'd be rooting for Peterson to have negative yardage in that game. |

And similar to what we did to Barry Sanders in the 1994 playoffs (I think it was under zero yards we allowed him).. prevent him from beating us with it all on the line. The type of effort that you can hang your hat upon.. and for us the fans to use as ammo for years to come. :) |

When I close my eyes.. I can remember the frustration on his face during that game. A mouse in a corner... no where to go. That and those jitterbug cuts.. and his ability to hand the football to the refs almost like clock work. |

As long as the Packers win that's all that matters. Hopefully Peterson gets most of the yards he needs against their week 16 opponent. I also think Peterson should be league MVP given the fact that he is THE Vikings offense. Remember, he's doing this on a repaired ACL. |

I would want us to stop him regardless. Even better would be for him to get 294 yards vs Houston and -2 against us.
Lets look at where he is at, and what the number show. Currently 293 yards short. Houston is the 5th ranked rushing D allowing an average of 87 yards. Peterson averages 129 yards a game. So I would expect him to probably get 100 to 110 against Houston. Leaving 180-190 yards.
Over his career, Peterson has never had 2 good games against us in a season 2007 - 112,45 2008 - 103,30 2009 - 55,97 2010 - 131,72 2011 - 175,51 2012 - 210,?
If history holds true, he should not see double digit yardage.
Favre breaking the record against MN, and us preventing this record would be perfect. |

We cannot allow the Record now. Don't want him going over 200 on us twice. And we need the win for the bye. |

Sweatin' yet?
As if our rivalry game needs any more juice to it.. This game has a ton at stake. Vikings are playing for playoffs and AP's rushing record, Pack playing for bye and to NOT be the team AP sets the record against.
Oh, lets not forget how these teams are heated division/border rivals.
Couldn't ask for a better regular season finale. |
Thanks to TheViking88 for the sig!! |

Vikes better start praying for a Lions, Redskins and Eagles win.
It think that is the only chance they have to get in after losing this next game. |
