I don't have all the statistics at hand like Zero.. nor will I do the stats.. that is his thing.

But I will start the thread this week since we only have one day to go yet to gameday... and other than smacking around VR and Formo.. we are not talking much yet about this game. An important one to us. Zero can fix it later if he chooses... maybe this will prompt him to comeback. ;)

Yeah, yeah, yeah... it is only the Vikings but we have several things in play this weekend.

1) Locking down the #2 seed... make the Niners play and extra week. This will only help us. Additionally, it should allow ample time for the Falcons to fold in the playoffs ( Big Grin ) and set us up for home field throughout.

2) AP is going for the record.. and since we gave up 2 C notes last meeting... it is time to settle up on the debt a bit this season.

3) Winning puts a hurting on the Bears making the playoffs.. it also cramps the Vikings chances. However us winning helps the Giants.. but we will take our chances there.

There are many more talking points, like Cobb playing or resting, Woodson being held out again, Grant making some noise, our offense starting to look like the part of the 2011 passing attack. Our running game becoming effective at the right time.

Time to sweep the divisional games again for the season.

GB 110
minny -1

They get penalized for that stupid fog horn.

Cobb sits.
Woody sits as has already been established.
CM3 has a field day.
AP is lucky to break 100. They are all meaningless yards.
Ponder shows his value by being picked 3 times.
One does not simply walk into Mordor.

I was curious about how Rodgers plays in Minnesota and here is his averages

21.75 completions
31 attempts
266.25 yards
2.25 touchdowns
.25 interceptions
117.8 rating

and a 2-2 record

I really am hoping that last week was a sign of things to come with the running game. Grant having another big day and Green returning to the fold would be a real boost going into the playoffs. Want this win pretty bad.

You sensed that, did you?

If there is any fear, is that starting this thread irritates the living shit out of Zero some more... this is normally his thread to start.

Fear the Vikings... lol.. I shall need to ponder the inner depths of my mind to come up with a single reason for this. We are playing with house money.. lets say the Packers stub their collective toes. The Vikings make the playoffs and have to come to GB.. and the Giants stay home. Is that really a loss? Like the Vikes would have a snow ball chance in Hell of winning in GB with the offense currently constructed.

So I am trying to figure why fear the Vikes.

This game isn't a gimme. The Vikings will be playing like cornered rats. They know that this is it. They lose this game, they're out unless other teams beat other teams and you know the rest.

Plus, we're not so dominant in MN. In Lambeau, yeah, we'll win easily like we always do. Last year, we beat them 45-7 at home and only won by 6 pts there. I see a closer game than I like to see.

It comes down to our OL vs their DL. If we win that battle, we should win easily. If not, they could win.

AD will get his yards. Ponder will give us some Wub like he always does.

I'd like the Packers to win, hell I always like the Packers to win but I'm not so sure I want this team to have a bye week if their 1st game would be at Lambeau anyway.
I really don't know how the scenario would play out if the Packers lost this game.

Help me here.

CMIII will stop AP.

Packers will rack up big yardage on the ground.

A-Rod will have a quiet day as we won't need to pass much.

Ah Phil, my delusional British amigo, your sense of humor slays me sometimes.

Especially the Matthews stopping Peterson part....that is truly priceless.

We got this.

This game will show us if this team really has its shit together or if the Titans were just that bad. If we want to go on to the Superbowl, we need to have our shit together.

We'll win, but it should be decisive. If it's another "MM squeaker," with three quarters of lull, that will show me that we're still looking for ways to defeat ourselves.

If GB loses they host a wild card game next weekend. I believe it would be against the 6 seed. After that win they would head to SF then on to Atlanta.
