Looks like he is headed there if Mike says he's got a season ending injury:

http://www.jsonline.com/...gs/sports/185443481.html

That's a bummer. I had high hopes this kid would really contribute during the playoffs. Guess we'll have to wait till next season, and I hope his recovery goes well. Now, who do they replace this player with?

Did Worthy tear his ACL or what? Hopefully he can be back healthy for training camp, but this doesn't sound good.

Hope he's ok.

Dang it.. good rotational player that is getting valuable experience under his belt... as Dodd notes.. hopefully with rehab/surgery he will be ready for Training Camp.

I wonder if guys like Muir or Hargrove get a call to come back.. we could use another body or two.

Quote:
According to the NFL's rulebook, "clubs participating in the playoffs are permitted to sign free agents throughout the postseason, but are limited to a total of four free agent signings, including players on other clubs' Practice Squads, during the period that begins at 4 p.m., New York time, on the Wednesday after the final regular season weekend."

Teams can not sign more than two such players during any week of the postseason.

We have six.. but I don't know that is "enough" over the course of a playoff game. One injury and we are short cycling the rotation and somewhat limited in Short Yardage situations.

Quote:
Worthy played 467 of the Packers' 991 defensive snaps (47 percent) this season in games in which he was active. Of Green Bay's defensive linemen, only full-time starters B.J. Raji and Ryan Pickett were on the field more.

The Packers now have six healthy defensive linemen heading into the playoffs, with Raji, Pickett, C.J. Wilson, Mike Neal rookie Mike Daniels and recent practice-squad call-up Jordan Miller.

Source....

All right then, we need six, so that's covered at least.

I thought Daniels was actually playing better than Worthy. Sucks to lose him though.

We'll get by with 5. We're actually thinner at linebacker, cause when Matthews takes a play or two off, we just have a body out there.

It isn't about being better at this point.. it is about having a effective rotation to keep guys fresh. Now.. we either shorten the rotation or we put a guy with limited experience in the said rotation and the trickle down effects of that.

More two down sets.. or less dynamic pressure packages.. etc.

uffda udfa (2h) : Nope. I like Gus.
beast (2h) : Did you want Anthony Lynn as HC? Cushion Bradley was going to follow Lynn where ever.
uffda udfa (3h) : Gus Bradley is new DC in SD/LA. I would've loved to had him here in Green Bay.
uffda udfa (7h) : It's just fine.
musccy (7h) : 5 questionable Packers, none for Falcons. Not good.
uffda udfa (7h) : Jordy not listed as OUT or DOUBTFUL. Questionable on injury report.
uffda udfa (9h) : This is the 6th straight game we've faced someone for the 2nd time. We learn.
uffda udfa (9h) : Aaron: I like our role. I like our chances. (said he relishes being an underdog)
uffda udfa (9h) : Aaron alludes to fake crowd noise at Georgia Dome for Sunday.
uffda udfa (9h) : So, to recap. Losing streak "just the way it is", winning streak "astronomical feat". #Balanced
uffda udfa (9h) : Ironically, he called the turn around "astronomical" not just the way it is in the NFL. #Don'tMissTheIrony
uffda udfa (9h) : Ted tells Demovsky the Packers weren't underachieving when 4-6. Just the way it is in the NFL????
Zero2Cool (13h) : Only time I recall getting annoyed is when they beat a single topic over and over and over.
Pack93z (14h) : Most yes... Heller seems to get it more so... diversity in his coverage... but seemingly can highlight the pressing issues properly.
Zero2Cool (14h) : I'm kind of in the boat that they all are babblying boonies.
Pack93z (14h) : God bless it... Bill Michaels can be a stubborn SOB at times... love his Packers coverage, still think he is a buffoon at times.
Zero2Cool (14h) : Jordy Nelson Named PFWA Comeback Player of the Year
Zero2Cool (16h) : Carter is predicitng the end is in ATL for Packers.
Porforis (16h) : Or I could just completely miss the part where that was Cris Carter.
Porforis (16h) : Careful there. Don't you want to predict a Packers loss just in case?
Zero2Cool (16h) : @criscarter80 :Every fairy tale comes to an end, and this is where the magic carpet ride stops in the ATL.
Zero2Cool (17h) : McCarthy: "JC Tretter actually had surgery Tuesday. He won't be available this week"
Zero2Cool (18h) : Crosby is fine now. Full Participant in practice Thursday
Porforis (18h) : What I'm more worried about at this point is WR injuries and Crosby being sick. Who'd be the backup if Crosby can't go?
Zero2Cool (18h) : We do have hope. Our secondary has improved. Also, he had to throw 80% to get 1 point up. That won't happen again.
Zero2Cool (18h) : I like to tease sometimes.
uffda udfa (19h) : Only 80%? :). We lost by one given that stat? Wish we had hope of tightening up.
uffda udfa (19h) : Z, u should tell everyone who Quintorris is. Quintorris Lopez Jones, better known as Julio.
Zero2Cool (19h) : Matt Ryan completed 80% of his passes against Packers in October.
uffda udfa (19h) : McGinn goes full on attack mode dismissing the notion of "Packers people". Harsh.
uffda udfa (19h) : McGinn says John Dorsey likely to be next Packers GM.
Zero2Cool (21h) : Boom! Davante Adams says last year's ankle injury "more difficult to deal with'
uffda udfa (20-Jan) : Packers brass potentially leaving? Not worthy of discussing. Pressure Cooker? Never enough talk about them.
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Put Quintorris in a pressure cooker.
uffda udfa (19-Jan) : Back to football: Julio says he's going to play Sunday. Did NOT say he wouldn't be limited in the game.
