Looks like Starks is coming back.

Quote:
The Packers got some good news with the return of running back James Starks, who missed the last five games with a knee injury. McCarthy says it's too early to say how much he'll play against the 49ers.

If Starks is completely healthy, do you go with him over Harris?

Starks is a veteran, which means I would tend to favor him in the playoffs, all other things being equal.

But I don't necessarily think all other things are equal here. Especially if Stark's isn't 100%. I think Harris gets more carries.

While they both bring something different to the table, DuJuan Harris has been playing overly well for where he came from. I would not take away snaps from Harris, especially since Mike McCarthy is still uncertain of Starks ability to fully play.

Harris > Starks for the meantime.

I would say no. Not only has Harris been running well, he has been effective in the screen game and with check down catches. But IMO the biggest reason is, that we have been running different, and run blocking different. That takes time to get the timing down and Starks is not going to have that.
The world needs ditch diggers to Danny!!!

I can't imagine Harris not getting the start. Rodgers obviously has trust in him right now and he is producing. Happy to have Starks coming back healthy. Great set of diverse tools in the backfield at McCarthy's disposal.

Harris gets the start and the majority of the carries if he produces.
One does not simply walk into Mordor.

So if Starks is 100%, does Grant stay on the roster?

hope we get starks going - like the dude - nto sold on dujuan; seems like too small of a guy and not enough muscle to get the job done ... I give the hats off to our Oline for his success.

So sad to see grant back in there - even thou he had a good run last game

It would be great having both guys for the game. Starks is probably much better than Harris in any situation where the other team expects a run is coming. He's our best player at breaking tackles and getting tough yards he just doesn't have the burst that Harris does.

Harris should start. He's had the "hot hand". If Starks is ready, you activate him and if Harris isn't doing well, you put him in.
