I'll say this, the players know. If McCarthy is going to continue to mismanage important games against the elite teams in the NFL, some of these players may NOT wish to return to GB.

I have lost a considerable amount of confidence in Mike McCarthy. Really foolish game planning on both sides of the ball.

Speaking of game mis-management, was anyone else thinking we had to go for it with 11 mins left in the 4th and near midfield instead of punting?

What was the score at the time and did the defense give any indication they could stop the 49ers?

I believe we were down 14 at the time and it was a little bit into the 4th quarter so, no, our defense had shown no signs of stopping their offense. We punted and it was downed inside the 10.

Yeah, I thought we should have gone for it at that point. I had a discussion with Mike McCarthy about it through my television, but he is stubborn. [-(

myself and a few others were screaming about it in gameday chat. The game was sealed when we punted right there.

Yep. Some really basic football tenants went out the window yesterday, when it really mattered.

Granted, you'd be hard pressed finding a coach who would go for it with 11 minutes left not even at midfield yet. But in the playoffs, when ur down 2 scores and ur defense has been getting its ass handed to it all damn day, u need to make a gutsy call. That was the time and place to make that call, to give our team a chance to close the gap.

Me too it made no sense to me to punt when it didn't seem to make much difference as our D wasn't stopping anything. Hell giving them the ball around midfield probably would have saved us some clock.

I think no amount of game planning would have mattered. They were the more physical team on the line and we don't have the athletes to contain a QB like Kaepernick.

The coaches tried to have a spy for Kaep and it didn't work.

The coaches tried, and the players tried.

They were the Better team.

Retool or reload. Doesn't matter, change must happen or we will remain second tier for a long time
