How big of a fine should Brady get for this cheap shot. If the timing was just a little off. He easily could have taken out a knee, or broken a bone. |
The world needs ditch diggers to Danny!!! |

Ty Cobb use to slide that with both legs in the air. They say he use to sharpen his cleats right by the other team's dugout.
As for Brady, seems like the luster has been knocked off that boy. He'll probably get $10K, being his first offense, but a big loser in the court of public opnion. |

Puhlease... he won't get fined. Not a dime. Even though it was clearly intentional. |

The defender could have grabbed his leg and broke it like a wishbone. And who would have blamed him? There's no place for crap like that. But as was said, he's a "star" player and probably won't have to be held accountable for his actions. |

Althought it was a horrible play and it should've been flagged, the way Brady handled it afterwards is what sets him apart from a player like Suh. And, of course, the frequency of these kinds of plays. But, anyway, on the first point... Ed Reed: Brady apologized for slideby Josh AlperQuote:Ravens safety Bernard Pollard has been banging the drum to get the NFL to discipline Patriots quarterback Tom Brady for a slide during the AFC Championship Game, a play that Brady has since apologized for making.
Pollard thought that Brady intentionally tried to kick Ravens safety Ed Reed at the end of a run when he slid with his right leg higher than you’d expect to see on such a play. During a radio interview with WJZ in Baltimore, Reed said that he heard from Brady after the game about the slide in question.
“We talked actually not too long ago, we talked on the phone. He actually reached out to me, texted me,” Reed said, via ESPNBoston.com. “I tried to text him back, but the message exploded after 12 seconds, so I had to call him … and he’s just apologized and what not. But I told him, ‘You know, it’s good, man.’”
Reed went on to say that he doesn’t think Brady is a dirty player and that “emotions get going in the game.” NFL spokesman Greg Aiello told the website Tuesday that “any play of that nature is routinely reviewed” so Pollard might yet get his wish granted. |
