I heard from a Viking's insider that Childress feared for his life if he shook MM's hand. It's my understanding, that Childress believes Mike McCarthy is King Midas reincarnated due to his touch of gold with quarterbacks (and his smarmy smirks from across the field). You see, Childress has staked his job on a guy with measurables off the charts but he can't develop him, and Mike McCarthy comes waltzing up north and every quarterback he works with is successful. Childress, being a rational man, believes there's only one explanation for his own failure and MM's easy success: magic. And as a rational man, he'll be damned if he's gonna end up as a solid gold statue on the 50 yard line of Lambeau Field.

Childress also still believes in the tooth fairy.

Somebody please tell him.

If Mike McCarthy would have shook his hand, Childress would have turned into a pile of steaming dog poop..........oh wait...........he must have shook MM's hand already!!! :physassult: :thumbleft:

So who would win in a fight between Mike McCarthy and Chuck Norris? ;)

And remember. Chuck Norris doesn't go on the internet, he has every internet site stored in his memory. He refreshes webpages by blinking.

Ooh, that last quote by McCarthy was a not-so-indirect jab at the head coach. No wonder Childress didn't shake hands. But of course, McCarthy was right. You don't hear too much trash talk coming from the Packers or most other teams.

That last quote is about two weeks old, and had nothing to do with the incident. The writer is trying to fan the flames, that's all.

It was more of an oversight than anything else. If Mike McCarthy understood, I think packer fans could too...

that's kinda what i figured, nodak - thanks for letting us know for sure. quotes taken out of context = media's version of the truth.

Mike McCarthy is a man's man.

I thought he was seeing a female.

The term man's man is misleading. The definition is actually closer to Alpha Male than what you thought it was.

more classles trash from the vikings. Who cares if you are talking to your QB. take a minute, go out to the field and shake his hand, and then continue the convorsation after.

Honestly, if he was talking and coaching his QB, I have no problem with not making it out to shake hands. That is what his first priority should be.
Mike McCarthy and Chilly talked on Tuesday, just another twist from the media that they can dig up in November for a faux storyline.
