We don't need a 1000 yard rusher, we just need to be able to get consistent positive yardage. With the line we have we simply don't have the push to really have a rush-first mentality.

Push? Puleeze. I'll settle for some small improvement over the "crack" we try to give our RB. I have forsaken the concept of a "hole", as under this administration. the linemen are not required to do...

what?

anything in the run game? These guys have not been earning their pay or position, and their coach should be gassed, but I digress...

Amazing what happens when we - accidentally, by my best analysis- create a hole---

We seem to have AWESOME running backs when they are not running into the back of our offensive linemen!

THIS is what I'm worried about regarding Jackson, not his ability. I'm worried we already have the ability in that position, just unheralded due to o-line and scheme suckiness (it's an industry term)

...But I liked how Ahman Green ran under this shit-box system, he found sunshine often when clouded in complete shit, so I'm optimistic if Jackson signs. He SEEMS like a guy that could find a hole where we have none.

Face it. We are a "soft" team. Yes. The GD Green Bay Packers-my boys- my Lombardi boys- are S O F T. aka PUSSIES! (or should be known as such) We have NO CONTROL over the trenches against anyone worth talking about. HOW EMBARRASSING! Your Ted Thompson (and I like Ted, mostly) has a plan, we win many games, but they are SOFT SOFT SOFT. GET 'EM ON THE LINE, physically and mentally (our opponent) Cold-weather Green Bay Packers. Pisses me off. Doesn't he even know where he LIVES? He built a friggin' astrograss plastograss whatever girly-man flim-flam D O M E team!

Those homos in SF have a physical - team we must aspire to, (not that there is anything wrong with that) and our President is B. Obama. The world is definitely so upside-down, lol

HEY TED! GET THE BEST FUCKING LINE IN THE NFL AND BE DONE WITH IT, DO THAT, hang onto Rodgers, and we can get UDFA's for the skill positions. DO THE SAME THING for the pass rush folk. Christ, I should run this team, lol
thanks Post received 1 applause.

If they were really discussing a 3-year deal earlier.. what is taking so long to finish it?

Welker was roughly 2-hours between when talks were reported, and finalized.

because of that, I don't think we are making a very strong push, and more waiting for his market to settle.

Packers | No bidding war for Steven Jackson
Wed, 13 Mar 2013 06:42:56 -0700

The Green Bay Packers have made contact with the representatives of free-agent RB Steven Jackson (Rams) to express interest in him, according to an NFL source, but it doesn't appear they are close to signing him. The Packers want to sign Jackson at their price and will not engage in a bidding war with any other teams.

Jackson is probably taking his time and seeing if there are any other offers he would rather accept.
I guess that's what FA is all about.

If Jackson's agent thinks he's going to squeeze extra money out of Ted, he's in for a long week. From what I've read, Jackson wants to play for Green Bay, and he doesn't need the money, so patience grasshoppers.

He wants to play on a SB contender. How many SB contenders don't already have a number 1 RB? the teams in demand that meet his expectations would be down to maybe the Falcons and Packers maybe a few more.

The Falcons aren't Super Bowl contenders - they have Matty Choke at QB. If that was happening, it would have already.

Zero2Cool (2h) : Why not
hardrocker950 (11h) : Just wonderful - my pick em didn't register....
beast (21h) : I'm not sure if it's still true, but it used to be hard to get sacks on Eli because he'd toss one up when linemen got semi-close (which lead
Zero2Cool (21h) : Slam Eli a lot very early. Once rattled he can't regain composure.
beast (22h) : since slot WRs might be the Packers strength depth/talent wise
beast (22h) : With AR's passing % down field so low, I've been saying they should go with short passes like the Pats used to do, especially since slot WRs
beast (22h) : What's going to be needed against the Giants is OL and DBs (IMO)
Smokey (28-Sep) : Cook(TE) has time to heal, but may not be needed against NYG on Oct 9th .
Zero2Cool (27-Sep) : . Aaron Rodgers has a completion percentage of 33.3 on 10+ air yard passes this season (tied for the lowest in NFL).
Zero2Cool (27-Sep) : High-ankle sprain could sideline Cook
Zero2Cool (26-Sep) : Odell Beckham Jr, Dez Bryant, Alshon Jeffery and Julio Jones on tap for Packers. Yippie.
Cheesey (26-Sep) : Arnold Palmer was a class act all around. RIP
Smokey (26-Sep) : Rest in Peace Arnold Palmer, you blessed us all .
hardrocker950 (26-Sep) : What a strange weekend of football
jdlax (26-Sep) : What's up, friends? It's like bizzaro world right now trailing the Vikings. Blah.
GoPack1984 (25-Sep) : Ryan Fitzpatrick threw 6 interceptions!
TheKanataThrilla (25-Sep) : Cleveland loses.
The_Green_Ninja (25-Sep) : I swear, Jacksonville's hot weather must be a huge advantage. Kept it super close with the Ravens
TheKanataThrilla (25-Sep) : Su'a Cravens with a big INT. A guy I wanted.
TheKanataThrilla (25-Sep) : Can Cleveland win?
Zero2Cool (25-Sep) : T.J. Lang said after one of Aaron Rodgers' TD passes the Packers quarterback head-butted Lang in excitement and said "I'm back."
Zero2Cool (25-Sep) : Terrelle Pryor could see snaps at quarterback
Zero2Cool (25-Sep) : inactives 6 Callahan 37 Shields 42 Burnett 52 Matthews 68 Murphy 95 Jones 98 Guion
Mucky Tundra (25-Sep) : GET HYPE
Zero2Cool (25-Sep) : Packers aim to showcase speed of Ty Montgomery, Trevor Davis
Zero2Cool (25-Sep) : CB Quinten Rollins will start for Shields. Micah Hyde for Burnett. Julius Peppers for Matthews. Kenny Clark for Guion.
Tezzy (25-Sep) : Probably will not be on the top of the Pick'Em leaderboard after today, soaking it in beforehand
Tezzy (25-Sep) : Foosball!
yooperfan (25-Sep) : Game day, tee it up and get this show on the road!
dyeah_gb (25-Sep) : Dyeah! Go Pack!
buckeyepackfan (25-Sep) : GOOD MORNING PACKER FANS! GAMEDAY! GO! PACK! GO!
flep (25-Sep) : Gameday!!! Will see you all in chat later
The_Green_Ninja (25-Sep) : Also, I'm not sure if you guys know. I'm a Memphis Tigers fan. Start looking a Riley Ferguson, QB. He is the real deal.
The_Green_Ninja (24-Sep) : Big whoop, we have Aaron. We are going to win. H8ers.
Zero2Cool (24-Sep) : Matthews, Burnett out; Guion, Jones doubtful
