Count me among the happy. He may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he gave us a lot of happiness for a lot of years. |

Give him his due as a player, but he needs to earn the respect back as a man.
Only problem I forsee is Aaron getting all tweaked on it. Dude is oversensitive and it might add more fuel to his stat whoring fire. |

Brett Favre doesn't owe anyone anything, whatever anyone's opinion of Brett is now , will not be changed by anything he says or does.
He was a Packer for 16 years and left it all out on the field every time he played.
I'll gladly stand up and cheer for him when he goes into The NFL Hall of Fame in a few years, not sure when he will be honored by The Packers, but imho, he should wait until Ted Thompson is gone, just to much animosity between the 2.
Why create any distractions or controversy?
Not sure that Brett will ever become a member of The Ring of Honor at Lambeau.
Don't remember if any of the current members of the ring went on to play with another team, of course with FA these days, there won't be too many players who stay with the same team their entire career. |

The ring includes the name of the Packers who have been inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame, so it's safe to assume Favre's name will someday be added. I think his number will also be retired eventually, but not anytime soon. Favre was a great player and he did a lot for the Packers organization; he deserves to be honored regardless of his more recent conduct. |

JSOnline wrote: Green Bay --- This week, team president Mark Murphy weighed in a potential Kumbaya reunion between the Green Bay Packers and Brett Favre. In short, he's hopeful. The Packers want to retire Favre's No. 4. Murphy wasn't sure when a ceremony would take place, but added, "it’s going to happen." |

This whole thing is a non issue. Talking about getting closer to honoring him is a non issue. It will happen someday. If it is not scheduled for 2013 who really gives a rip? Let's talk about it when both sides have set a date until then it

It's like a marriage that ended bad. 13 years of happiness followed by a couple years of misery. As time passes and you find someone better(#12) you tend to forget about the drama from #4 |
