Well, this is not good news. I hope Aaron Rouse is fully healthy, because he was lousy against the Lions:

Ahhh don't worry, yes I would like to have Bigby in the game but all isn't lost because he might sit. Rouse and Collins can still play ball.. we have both our starting corners and I have a feeling that a couple of wrinkles will be rolled out for the 'boys.. not to mention that they aren't playing on the friendly turf this weekend either.. TO is going to have to work to get his catches this weekend.

Oh and motor mouth Crayton.. they will tempt Romo to throw it his way.. all talk very little action.. at least TO backs up his smack.. this guy is a chump that only can talk.

This is Rouses time to shine!!

Lot think he can be a starter here, so let see him prove it

Totally agree with ya, esp. the enlarged parts. I'll be sorely disappointed if we don't give their passing attack fits in this game...

Providing he's not injured.

Bush will be backing up the Safeties. I think the reason why Mike McCarthy wanted to keep Bush was that he saw he has a big upside in his Safety work. As much as I dogged Bush in the preseason for his lack of corner work, Mike McCarthy must see something in him as a Safety.

I was high on Rouse last year. Hopefully he just had a slow start to the season. Rouse can hit and also make big plays. He has a lot of potential. Don't write him off just yet.

For those who don't know: Rouse was playing hurt last week. He wasn't even expected to suit up. That's probably why he played so crappy. It was the first time I've seen him look bad in a game. If he's back to full health, I have little doubt that he'll do a decent job. So I'll be interested to hear if he's listed on the injury report.

Has Rouse taken many snaps under Bigby's position?

I think so. On the official depth chart, Rouse is actually listed as Bigby's backup at strong safety, with Charlie Peprah as Collins' backup at free safety. But in reality, Rouse backs both of them up, and he probably splits his time between the two positions in practice.

The article Zero linked says that last week Rouse sprained an ankle and was listed as questionable for the Lions game, but this week he is not on the injury report. So we should see a better performance from him.

In the system Green Bay uses, the Safeties are essentially interchangeable.

Which is pretty neat.

Bigby is a big loss in my opinion. I think he's more important tot he Packers than Roy Williams is to Dallas.

However, Rouse is someone I've always been high on. Time for him to earn his keep.

Rouse's preformance will likely hinge on the amount of time Romo gets to pass. Kampman/ KGB/Picket/Jenkins will have a huge affect on how well Rouse, and the rest of the defense does vs Romo passing game.

The question that I have is, TO and Crayton are a pair of targets for Romo but ARod has DD/GJ/JJ along with a couple of real good TEs and Nelson/Martin duo to account for. How will the Cowboys defense handle that?

the Cowboys D will have a hard time matching up. their secondary is suspect. most Cows fans that I've talked to have acknowledged this. The key will be that we must be productive in the running game to keep them honest. I think our offense will put points on the board with our receivers, but the key to success lies in our ability to run the ball. this game will be won and lost in the trenches.

I just don't see us getting much pressure on Romo due to the size and speed of the Cowboys O-line.
Bigby is a big loss that could make things ugly, especially if Al is having one of his "days of confusion".

Zero2Cool (1h) : Hi 😊😉
TheKanataThrilla (6h) : I guess I should have did a refresh when I walked away from the computer.
TheKanataThrilla (6h) : Peters is 25 with one year left on his contract at just over $3M
Zero2Cool (8h) : Mel Kiper sticks with Marcus Davenport to GB in 2nd mock
Zero2Cool (9h) : As for Marcus Peters, how old is he an what's his contract years left?
Zero2Cool (9h) : Packers got tired of Sitton's antics.
Zero2Cool (9h) : Sitton was released not because of play or salary, but personality. He will not be re-signed.
TheKanataThrilla (9h) : If we are planning on possibly cutting Cobb I can see the 2nd round pick. A second round pick for Peters is a pretty good deal.
Smokey (11h) : I'd offer Cobb + a 3rd round pick + a 6th round pick in 2019 for the CB Peters from KC.
TheKanataThrilla (11h) : I guess that is a highter round pick
TheKanataThrilla (11h) : Suggestion was a 2nd round pick. I would want a lower round pick. I think that is too much. A 3rd or 4th seems about right.
Smokey (11h) : Cobb and WHAT PICK ?
TheKanataThrilla (12h) : A suggestion I saw was a trade of Cobb and a Pick for Peters. I think that would be a great move.
Smokey (15h) : Sitton was drafted be GB in 2008, not a young man at this point, but still is a "bear" of a man.
Cheesey (22h) : Sitton? Maybe if the price is right.
Cheesey (22h) : I doubt the Packers would try to resign Sutton. But who knows? If the price is right?
Zero2Cool (20-Feb) : Bears declining option on Josh Sitton. He'll be Free Agent.
Zero2Cool (20-Feb) : Chiefs CB Marcus Peters trade rumors -- come to Packers!
