With fellow cornerbacks Casey Hayward and Tramon Williams on the sideline nursing injuries, Packers cornerback Davon House stepped up during Wednesday morning's practice at Ray Nitschke Field. It's risky business comparing an unproven player to an established veteran. In fact, comparing any two players is like playing with fire. Some comparisons carry some stereotypes—racial or otherwise. Yeah, and some people wonder why some of us get excited about Davon House. True, he hasn't done a lot on game day yet, but he continually looks good in practice, and some in the preseason. I see no reason not to be excited about House as a really solid #3 CB, at least. I think he just needs to stay healthy. Even when playing during the regular season hurt, he still didn't look bad, most of the time.

If only he could keep his ass on the field. It's almost a guarantee he's going to get injured at some point.

I like House also. He plays with a reckless abandon that I believe can help this team. Hopefully, he can stay healthy.
