Chris Carter will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of fame tonight.
There will be alot of Super Bowl rings flashed around but alas poor Chris Carter will be the only inductee without a ring.
I guess playing for the Vikings is a bad thing when it comes to Super Bowl bling.

Not even the Hall of Fame can keep you from ripping a Viking? There is something really admirable about that. I've heard Crybaby Chris has never got over that '97 NFC championship loss to the Falcons. Poor bastard.

I always thought Carter was a jerk, but I am all for a successful redemption story. It's easy when things hit rock bottom to give up and let your life go right down the crapper, but Carter got clean and worked hard to get back at it and made himself a hall of famer.

And he got away with murder on the field. As slow as he was, he sure got wide open a lot. But he played in the days when they didn't call pass interference on the wide receiver.

It was the 98 season. The game itself was played in Jan. 99. Jesus, get your facts straight before you open your trap with shit talk.

Never liked Carter. Made circus catches, but other than that. Pfeh.

Frankly, back in the bad old days when he and Moss were teamed up, Moss's antics (except the traffic cop incident) bothered me less than Carter's sanctimonious "leadership." I disliked Moss because he played for the Vikings. But I disliked Carter, and still do, because he strikes me as the epitome of a prick jock.

IMO, his receiving stats notwithstanding, he doesn't deserve to be on the same stage with someone like Dave Robinson.

Or on the same set with Chris Berman and Tom Jackson and Mike Ditka.

IMO.

Yeah, his 'sanctimonious' leadership is terrible. Which is why when he went on stage to give his speech, he took his time to talk about all the people that helped him during his darkest times, on and off the field.

What a fucking prick jock.

"Articulate" and/or "good at public speaking" and/or "properly thanking others" are not the same as "of generally admirable character." Plato was wrong once again.

No doubt its unfair of me. Where do I get off demeaning the character of any pro football player; after l know none of them personally.

But, right or wrong, he has long struck me as a slickster. Someone like our current president or the republican he defeated in the last election, someone like an infomercial personality or a used car salesman.

Zero2Cool (25m) : Damn-Falcons coach Dan Quinn tells reporters that WR Julio Jones (foot) will be limited this week but will be “ready to rock” on Sunday.
Zero2Cool (35m) : Packers defense has a red zone INT in each of the last 3 games... Hyde with two of them. (One being the clutch 4thQ INT vs DET in Week 17)
Zero2Cool (1h) : Randall Cobb, Damarious Randall, Quentin Rollins, James Starks, Clay Matthews, Ty Montgomery & Jared Cook. OUT
Zero2Cool (1h) : Packers inactive list when they lost 33-32 to the Falcons week 8.

Smokey (2h) : Zero, I believe that you and some others place too much emphasis upon data. no harm intended.
Zero2Cool (3h) : It’s the 1st time since 1970 all 4 conference championship teams finished the regular season on winning streaks of 4+ games
TheKanataThrilla (3h) : Salt mine. Love it.
TheKanataThrilla (3h) : The refs kept that game close. We should have blown them out early.
DarkaneRules (3h) : Hyde and Gunter are special and I'm hopeful D Ran gets back to where he can be
mi_keys (3h) : That whole forum is a salt mine. It's beautiful.
Zero2Cool (3h) : Burnett's back up, Kentrell Brice lead team in tackles.

Zero2Cool (13h) : Jordy has "legitimate hope" to play, per @RobDemovsky.
Zero2Cool (14h) : Packers had one call on defense if called, no issue, wans't called. I didn't watch OL so dunno. I watched WR's
Zero2Cool (14h) : Dallas OL had some holds weren't called and 2 defensive holds, not called.
uffda udfa (14h) : I think the Pi vs just a holding call is a legit complaint. Terrible call.
GoPack1984 (14h) : Dallas can't complain about the officials. They got away with so many defensive holding calls.
uffda udfa (14h) : Dallas radio postgame: Dallas wins 7 out of 10 times.
uffda udfa (14h) : Brice led Pack w/ 6 tackles including the hardest of the game.
uffda udfa (14h) : Post game show said same thing. Everyone wondering how it didn't stay left.
Zero2Cool (14h) : Tornado warning forces players, fans to stay put at AT&T Stadium
Zero2Cool (14h) : Skip:More I see winning FG, more I see a very weird thing: It hooked hard left, then straightened out. Obviously no wind. Like meant to be

uffda udfa (14h) : I don't believe Dallas is better than us. When Aaron is on we're the best.
beast (14h) : The huddle penalty was an odd one. Without Burnett and Nelson.
uffda udfa (14h) : Cowboys radio team initially called Crosby GW NO GOOD. Lol.
DarkaneRules (15h) : we beat an arguably better team at their place without morgan burnett. still can't believe it
uffda udfa (15h) : Re emphasized we aren't the better team. Sour grapes are sweet to me.
uffda udfa (15h) : Complaining of PI call and huddle penalty.
uffda udfa (15h) : Dallas play by play guy said we aren't best team.
