The Packers will start the regular season with a pair of largely untested offensive tackles, which has generated some concern about how well quarterback Aaron Rodgers will be protected this season. I'll be disappointed if Sherrod's not activated this season.

I like Thompson. He reminds me of David Byrne.

When you put the best QB in the league behind a consistent medicore line where he is running for his life and taking boatloads of sacks eventually the inability to deal with the O-line is gonna bite us in the ass. Either that will be a Rodgers season-ending injury, or eventually when his legs are not as lively a guy that just can't get to the safe spot in time to make the throw to the open guy. Worst would be a pissed off QB who wants out. Don't think it will ever get there, but who knows.

Ted has invested TWO 1st round picks in the Oline. I think he takes a C high next year.

I'll take the over, largely because he holds the ball too long.

Then again, maybe the situation will inspire Aaron to get the ball out.

Didn't hear anything about them using a 2.5 second clock in training camp this year. Not sure if I'm happy or disappointed by that.

Well I read somewhere profootballfocus wrote Rodgers was releasing the ball faster than anybody in preseason so far.

Is that his throwing motion? As in "he has a quick release?"

Or does that refer to how long he holds onto the ball before he throws it?

That was my take too. From some of the posts here and the comments I read on PFT it seems we might be in the minority...

Q: What would you say to those who are worried that Aaron Rodgers is being protected by a pair of young tackles?

Thompson: It would probably depend on who the people were. Go on with their life, everything else will be fine.

Sounds more like he's saying relax, we got this covered so you can continue with your lives as you were.

everyone knows he can't stat whore if he don't keep it for a t least 3.0-3.5 seconds. How is he going to break Brett's records if he doesn't?

I am certain Ted loses sleep over that the media and fans think. He should be. We are all so wise in the ways of the NFL and the Packer's organization. We are all so discerning when it comes to evaluating talent. [laughing]

Zero2Cool (22m) : Good news for #Packers secondary: rookie CB Kevin King and vet CB Davon House (quad) both practiced. King has cleared concussion protocol.
Zero2Cool (27m) : Vince Biegel back on practice field!!
Zero2Cool (7h) : Maybe this little shout has no value if people gonna use it instead of the forum.
Zero2Cool (7h) : He's not writing. He's shouting, and its making the shout kind of without point with the clutter.
buckeyepackfan (11h) : Just like last year at 4-6. The guy is just too funny!
buckeyepackfan (11h) : GOOD news Uffda is already all but writing The Packers off for 2017!
uffda udfa (16h) : Masturbation talk from Barfan? Nothing could make me COME back, quicker.
wpr (17h) : Maybe the shout box needs to take a timeout. People keep using it. ;)
Zero2Cool (17h) : Why do this is in shout? So frustrating. Post in forums. Thanks
Barfarn (17h) : Masterbation will relieve some of that nervous tension!
uffda udfa (19h) : Now, a guy they really liked and have groomed for 3 years is the guy. Tons of toys on O. Let's see how it runs with a great coach, now.
uffda udfa (19h) : The Flynn Patriots game has been used to say that he is. Seneca and Scott showed otherwise.
uffda udfa (19h) : Hundley is going to settle the debate once and for all in whether Mike McCarthy is a great coach, or not.
uffda udfa (19h) : Doesn't speak well to the talent acquired by the org, does it? Easy to say talent is great until Rodgers is gone and you have to see it wit
Porforis (20h) : Could Sam Bradford come into the Packers and post a winning record from here on out? Are there any non-starters in the NFL that could?
Zero2Cool (20h) : Teddy is replaceable. Aaron is not. Vikings have a really good defense. We do not. Understand??
Zero2Cool (20h) : You are wise enough to know the difference. Right?
uffda udfa (21h) : Here's one for you, Z. Vikes lose Teddy B. and go out and aggressively get Bradford. Packers lose 12 and go out and get a UDFA.
uffda udfa (21h) : :) Evans had a pre-draft visit with Packers.
Zero2Cool (21h) : Put it in a topic. My lord why so difficult lol
uffda udfa (22h) : http://www.nfl.com/draft/2017/profiles/jerod-evans?id=2558099

uffda udfa (22h) : Oh, Jerod Evans formerly of Va Tech is our Hokie QB plan
uffda udfa (22h) : Was previously on Eagles PS
uffda udfa (22h) : Tweeted the below due to huge chip on his shoulder for going undrafted after leaving early.
uffda udfa (22h) : Packers add Jerod Evans to PS. He went undrafted: https://twitter.com/rodfor6_/status/858382534274682884
Smokey (22h) : NO a 6 point favorite to beat the Packers in GB .
Zero2Cool (17-Oct) : Yes!!!!!
Porforis (17-Oct) : "I said that too. Why don't you quote me?? I'm famous!" - Zero2Cool
Zero2Cool (16-Oct) : I said that too. Why don't you quote me?? I'm famous!
uffda udfa (16-Oct) : @ProFootballDoc says Rodgers could return Week 14 at earliest, and surgery speeds up return timeline.
Zero2Cool (16-Oct) : McCarthy dropped a "bullshit" on packers.com stream. No delay apparently lol
Zero2Cool (16-Oct) : @AaronNagler One thing is crystal clear: McCarthy is pissed at the way his team played yesterday.
Smokey (16-Oct) : 2017 Packers are done , time to focus on the 2018 NFL Draft .
Zero2Cool (16-Oct) : Mike McCarthy says Aaron Rodgers "suffered a significant injury". Will require surgery. Potentially season could be over.
