Five years in, Clay Matthews still needs a running mate at outside linebacker. Biting his tongue, he noted that defenses — just like offenses — start the season with "unscouted" looks, too. And the Packers do have a few new wrinkles for the rematch, he added.

Here is to hoping... but until Neal provides results on the field, I shall temper my excitement.

I just haven't seen "it" from him to make me a believer that he will have a sizable impact. Hope my negative Nancy attitude towards Neal gets slapped smack off me..

He looked dominant in the last preseason game.

It remains to be seen how he will look in the regular season. And how long it will take before offenses "figure him out." And how he reacts to that.

Neal and Daniels - two guys who looked like potential breakout difference makers this preseason if they can keep it going when the games matter.

If this OLB thing works out with Neal, they should try it with Daniels too. Undersized guy who gets to the QB.
