GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The Green Bay Packers did not hesitate to try multiple backup quarterbacks this preseason. They went from Graham Harrell to Vince Young to B.J. Coleman before finally settling on 33-year-old Seneca Wallace, who was signed on Sept. 2. But they don't appear interested in shaking things up behind Aaron Rodgers again -- not even to re-sign their former backup Matt Flynn, who was released by the Oakland Raiders on Monday. "Personally, I'm very happy with the quarterback room, the way it looks, the people in it," Packers coach Mike McCarthy said Monday.

Hey may still want a chance to start somewhere.

That article didn't do much to convince me of anything. Seemed like lip service to me. I can't imagine the Packers not having interest in Flynn, although I can understand why it wouldn't work out. Coming to the Packers basically solidifies his role as a career backup. If he goes somewhere else, perhaps the Bills, Browns, etc., he at least has a chance. I can't blame him for wanting to start.

The ship has sailed for me. I would be fine with Wallace. Not sure why most fans don't like Wallace, but hey, everyone's got an opinion.

Money ... does flynn want to go back to backupQB money? he still has a chance to start somewhere ... maybe
IMO its his last chance - not looking good for him - but think about this -

With that one detroit game he acquired 12 million bucks just from that one game ... cant complain ...

I never thought he was that good; IMO our receivers make our QBs look even better - cept for the 1st 1/2 of sundays detroit game - geez noone could catch.

When you've been a nomad all your career and are now in your mid 30s you're not going to excite many people with your abundance of upside and potential.

The Flynn on the Raiders looked nothing like the one on the Packers. Whether he's injured or his confidence is shot he didn't look like a player I'd want on the Packers at all.

I preferred Vince Young over either Wallace or Flynn.

Vince Young has been a head case his entire career.
I think the Packers found that hadn't changed and his mediocre talent was not worth the headache.

I don't have a problem with Wallace, but I think I'd like both he and Flynn on the roster. Whoever looks better in practice each week gets the nod as the number 2 QB. Perhaps one shows they're truly better than the other, and the other gets released.

I just personally think Flynn is the better backup QB for the Packers.
