It appears the Packers are going to drastic measures for Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens.

With the depleted linebacking corps (no Clay Matthews or Brad Jones Sunday) becoming even thinner after the injuries of Andy Mulumba, it appears the Packers are going to drastic measures for Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Packer Report says that the team had to move practice squad tight end Jake Stoneburner at linebacker.

The team's only healthy outside linebackers are Mike Neal, Nick Perry (slated to start) and Nate Palmer.

maybe he thinks that since a LB usually covers a TE - that a TE would be a good job for covering a TE? ...

be interesting to see how it works out

What's the big deal? The guy isn't going to be playing in any real games and they need bodies for LB at practice.

Yeah, it's like when Aaron plays safety for the scout team in practice or something. It's not an actual roster move.

I thought this was gonna be about Ryan Taylor, who has some history as a Linebacker. Does Stoneburner have that? And what happened to Mulumba - one of my favorite newcomers? I hadn't heard of any injury to him?

I really think the move would have more to do with ST, than LBer. Defensively I would expect us to resemble a 4-3 more now. Raji, Pickett, Jolly rotation at interior DT and Neal, Jones, Daniels rotating at DE

I concur.. the Packers rely heavily on the backers/tight ends in the special teams packages.. as long as we don't suffer a couple more dings in the game.. I see this only impacting those special team packages and lessening the risk on any of our guys that need to be leaned on for the defensive package.

uffda udfa (2h) : Nope. I like Gus.
beast (2h) : Did you want Anthony Lynn as HC? Cushion Bradley was going to follow Lynn where ever.
uffda udfa (3h) : Gus Bradley is new DC in SD/LA. I would've loved to had him here in Green Bay.
uffda udfa (7h) : It's just fine.
musccy (7h) : 5 questionable Packers, none for Falcons. Not good.
uffda udfa (7h) : Jordy not listed as OUT or DOUBTFUL. Questionable on injury report.
uffda udfa (8h) : This is the 6th straight game we've faced someone for the 2nd time. We learn.
uffda udfa (8h) : Aaron: I like our role. I like our chances. (said he relishes being an underdog)
uffda udfa (9h) : Aaron alludes to fake crowd noise at Georgia Dome for Sunday.
uffda udfa (9h) : So, to recap. Losing streak "just the way it is", winning streak "astronomical feat". #Balanced
uffda udfa (9h) : Ironically, he called the turn around "astronomical" not just the way it is in the NFL. #Don'tMissTheIrony
uffda udfa (9h) : Ted tells Demovsky the Packers weren't underachieving when 4-6. Just the way it is in the NFL????
Zero2Cool (13h) : Only time I recall getting annoyed is when they beat a single topic over and over and over.
Pack93z (14h) : Most yes... Heller seems to get it more so... diversity in his coverage... but seemingly can highlight the pressing issues properly.
Zero2Cool (14h) : I'm kind of in the boat that they all are babblying boonies.
Pack93z (14h) : God bless it... Bill Michaels can be a stubborn SOB at times... love his Packers coverage, still think he is a buffoon at times.
Zero2Cool (14h) : Jordy Nelson Named PFWA Comeback Player of the Year
Zero2Cool (16h) : Carter is predicitng the end is in ATL for Packers.
Porforis (16h) : Or I could just completely miss the part where that was Cris Carter.
Porforis (16h) : Careful there. Don't you want to predict a Packers loss just in case?
Zero2Cool (16h) : @criscarter80 :Every fairy tale comes to an end, and this is where the magic carpet ride stops in the ATL.
Zero2Cool (17h) : McCarthy: "JC Tretter actually had surgery Tuesday. He won't be available this week"
Zero2Cool (18h) : Crosby is fine now. Full Participant in practice Thursday
Porforis (18h) : What I'm more worried about at this point is WR injuries and Crosby being sick. Who'd be the backup if Crosby can't go?
Zero2Cool (18h) : We do have hope. Our secondary has improved. Also, he had to throw 80% to get 1 point up. That won't happen again.
Zero2Cool (18h) : I like to tease sometimes.
uffda udfa (18h) : Only 80%? :). We lost by one given that stat? Wish we had hope of tightening up.
uffda udfa (18h) : Z, u should tell everyone who Quintorris is. Quintorris Lopez Jones, better known as Julio.
Zero2Cool (19h) : Matt Ryan completed 80% of his passes against Packers in October.
uffda udfa (19h) : McGinn goes full on attack mode dismissing the notion of "Packers people". Harsh.
uffda udfa (19h) : McGinn says John Dorsey likely to be next Packers GM.
Zero2Cool (21h) : Boom! Davante Adams says last year's ankle injury "more difficult to deal with'
uffda udfa (20-Jan) : Packers brass potentially leaving? Not worthy of discussing. Pressure Cooker? Never enough talk about them.
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Put Quintorris in a pressure cooker.
uffda udfa (19-Jan) : Back to football: Julio says he's going to play Sunday. Did NOT say he wouldn't be limited in the game.
