Former NFL running back Jerome Bettis had a good bit to say on ESPN radio about the Green Bay Packers. He said two things that should provide the Packers with some heat as they move forward in the 2013 season, and I would like to address them both:

1. The defense has not improved from the previous two seasons.

2. The focus on improving the running game has stalled Aaron Rodgers & Co. and their dangerous air attack.

Wow seriously? What the hell has he been watching?!

Yeah the "stalled" offense is somehow top 5 in scoring so far.

The defense would be better if not for the injuries. As is, it might even be marginally better.

The second item is true by appearance if not by stats. Great as it is this year, and more diversified as it is for sure, the Packers offense just doesn't seem as good as the high flying pass-first show we had the past couple of years.

I think things will evolve this year to where the offense looks more like the last three years, just with better ABILITY to hit 'em with change of pace runs and maybe take time off the clock running with a 3 touchdown lead in the fourth quarter. To the limited extent we aren't quite there yet, I can see why he says we are stalled.

I would destroy Jerome Bettis in fantasy football.

Well, the red zone offense has stumbled a bit.

I'm glad Crosby has recovered his form, but I wish he didn't have to use it so often.
None of the above. It wouldn't have been a wasted vote. Obama and Romney -- Those were the wasted votes.

With all the talk about how bad GBs offense has been they are still 9th in the league at points/drive so they are doing something right.

Wait until they turn it back around!

I think the playcalling has been a bit suspect to keep drives alive and in the red zone, but don't forget that 4 of the 5 teams we played were playoff teams last year and a three of them have a pretty good defence. It will start clicking if we could ever get rid of this awful injury plague we have going on. Lacy is really helping this team in my opinion and I am hopeful for a huge game from him tomorrow.
