Hmmmm,

Mike puts off his meeting with the media till tomorrow, Ted signs Bell, someone needs to be cut or placed on IR to make room for him.

Not liking the scenario going through my head.

Damn, I hope I am completely wrong, but I wouldn't be surprised to hear The Packers have shut #12 down for the year.

They do that and nobody will be safe.

One thing for the fans to admit the season is over, but if The Organization pretty much does the same, not good.

DAMN I HOPE I AM WRONG! WRONG! WRONG!
Enjoy the ride – It kicks and just keeps on kickin’.

If they IR Aaron Rodgers, I have a feeling he's going to be PISSED.

GREEN BAY -- The Green Bay Packers added some needed running back help Monday, signing veteran Kahlil Bell on Monday, an NFL source confirmed.

ESPN.com's Rob Demovsky was the first to report the signing, and Bell also Tweeted that he had joined the Packers.

Playing for the Chicago Bears, the 5-foot-11, 219-pound Bell ran 23 times for 121 yards against the Packers on Dec. 25, 2011, at Lambeau Field. It is Bell's only career 100-yard rushing game.

After placing rookie Johnathan Franklin on season-ending injured reserve last week with a concussion and a neck injury, the Packers had only three running backs on their 53-man roster: Starter Eddie Lacy, backup James Starks and fullback John Kuhn. The team lost practice-squad running back Michael Hill, who spent a couple weeks on the 53-man roster, to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last month.

Demovsky reported that Bell had worked out for the Packers last season, then worked out for the team again on Monday.

Bell was in training camp with the New York Jets this summer and has been out of football since being cut at the end of camp. For his career, Bell has carried 148 times for 633 yards and no touchdowns. He ran 29 times for 76 yards last season with the Jets.

Bell entered the league with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent from UCLA in 2009.

The Packers will have to make a roster move to make room for Bell. They promoted practice squad linebacker Victor Aiyewa to the 53 when Franklin was placed on IR.

First off, there are other guys we could IR before Rodgers so that would be dumb. OR they could just flat out let someone go eh?

NFL Network just said its very doubtful that Rodgers plays this week and if they are out of contention they will shut Rodgers down for the year.

I think Rodgers is going to play.

They brought up an ILB from the PS last week to cover for Lattimore. That guy will go back to PS.

A little concerned about Franklin now. He's my boy.

Was wondering this too. I have seen it a couple of places, but I have yet to see an actual source.

Gets old seeing the "because we think so" claims and articles.

I don't think they would sign a vet RB if they were writing off the season by IRing Rodgers.

Yes they could. They only have 2 real running backs and Kuhn. The way injuries fly around you can't depend on only 2 guys remaining healthy for 4 games. Should one of them go down it is going to take a few weeks for the new guy to learn his plays.

Unless it has already happened - I am guessing they shut down Randall Cobb for the year with this move? Not sure I have heard much about his progression.

Interesting imo that they didn't call Ryan Grant, who already knows the plays. lol

Unless they plan on cutting back on Lacy's workload as well to save him a little wear and tear. If they are giving up on the season it makes some sense.

Of course that wouldn't be like MM. It seems that if he were giving up on the season he'd needlessly run Lacy into the ground.

I respect your right to have your opinion but that doesn't mean I agree with it or respect you for having it.
