Solid against the run. Dunno why they didn't use him more last year.

Oh yeah, Capers.

Because it doesn't actually matter how good you are at playing football, you just have to be over 330lbs.

"solid against the run" = a nice way of saying "shit pass rusher."

he wasn't good against the run either, just better than Jarius Wynn.

Raiders having a good offseason. Steelers have a pretty solid one too.

He looked better than Raji imo.

Ted signed plenty of FAs, back when the cupboards were bare. Koren Robinson, Mark Roman, Marquand Manual, etc.

Let McKenzie stock up on good players and win a SB. Then see how much he spends.

Yeah it's Capers fault that all the other healthy DL out played him and earned their way past him...

Wilson was solid paying two gap, but was under average at everything else.

If Worthy was healthy at the start of the season, Wilson might not of even made the team last year.

And Boyd came in and out played him as a rookie.

Boyd was a NT.

Boyd was used at NT, DT and DE, he wasn't just a NT. And he out played Wilson to get on the field.

From what I heard of Wilson sounds like he's a GREAT MAN! But he got out played last year by the other guys stepping up and he didn't.

Considering that he was a 7th rounder, I'd say the Packers squeezed all they could out of him and then found something better. Best of luck to him.

As far as the Raiders signing a ton of Packers FA-they're not exactly breaking the bank signing him and Jones. I think this is more McKenzie bringing in vets so he can tell his young guys/draft picks "These guys won a Super Bowl and come from a background where winning is an expected thing. They know what it takes to win and the dedication it takes. Emulate them."

I've heard a few times that C.J. Wilson is good against the run. Compared to other players at the same position in the same defensive scheme, he is ranked 50th against the run. I think marginal player is overstating his value. Mike Daniels and Jerel Worthy both ranked much higher. (Worthy had just 12 snaps.)

I like Worthy, Daniels, and Boyd. I just wish we could find a better nose tackle than Raji. I believe Raji to be lazy and stupid. The jury is still out on Datone Jones and what Peppers will bring us. But CJ Wilson, good riddance.

If that's PFF rankings he was ranked 10th in 2012. He got injured last year and his play and snaps suffered for it.

That is quite true and for comparison sake, B.J. Raji was ranked 6th.

I don't have any problem with the guy, but he is the definition of a replaceable player, imo.
