Offensive linemen seems to be a bit skewed to me, though. It's pretty much the only position where you have a safety valve if you're not good enough, in changing to guard.
A guy like Robery Gallery came into the league as one of the most hyped left tackles ever. He eventually turned out to be a bust at both tackle spots and became a decent left guard. He played for the same team for five year, but I wouldn't call that a succesfull pick, 2nd overall.
Next to that, Pro Bowl votes for offensive linemen are even more ridiculous than other positions. Most people don't really look at o-line play and just vote guys in by name, Jeff Saturday being the best example.
While I like that two of our positions of need are on the save side, I also feel like they generally have a lower ceiling. MLBs have to have a riduclously special set of skills if they really want to stand out in today's league.
While guys like Jonathan Vilma, D.J. Williams, or even our own AJ Hawk, are very solid players, they're not gamechangers. That's not on their skill alone, the position has also been devauled a lot/
