That still seems high for Roy Williams. Especially given they have to work out a contract extension with him.

NFL.com reports 1st, 3rd and 6th. PFT was wrong again.

Wait til the first game where Roy gets more opportunities than TO.. that would be worth the price of admission.
This will back fire.. then TO will get dumped this offseason.

Oh, I'm begging for TO to snap. When Brad Johnson gets under center next week Owens will be saying "This ain't my team. He ain't my quarterback. Not throwing all the passes to me, that's unfair. It's unfair!"

I don't think TO will have any fits. Well.. lol Not big ones, anyway.
I will say this, though, the sooner Romo gets back, the better off the Boys will be.

Now we've seen what trying to buy a championship does to a team. Jerry Jones doesnt get it. Hows Pac-man working out for you there? TO? hmm is it really a question
Big stars don't equal big rings anymore. I am glad we have a GM that doesn't look at a players media and press accolades before making decisions.
Cowboys suck. They gave up WAY too much and it will hurt them.

Owens is no young pup and with his antics I think the Cowboys did this move with the thought of unloading Owens during the off season.

John Clayton reported that the Cowboys and Williams have a tentative agreement on a 5 year extension worth $8-9 million per year. So not only did they give up the draft picks, but they're also going to pay him top flight dollars. Keep in mind, this is Roy Williams we're talking about. He's not an elite receiver.

I think the Lions got a great deal out of this. I mean, the team obviously needs some rebuilding, and what better way to do it than trading away your underachieving WR for 3 draft picks, including a 1st rounder.
Also seems like a morale booster for the fans. Getting rid of Mr. Millen and then getting a trade off like this.

1st, 3rd and a 6th for Roy Williams is insane.

Jerry Jones truly sucks. At least Lions will be competitive in the next 5 years, and our schedule will have 2 more interesting games.

He actually has better #'s than TO during his first few years in the NFL. I think he is TOs replacement also.

All they got back at the moment is a 6th and a 5th or 4th round pick. So they're still giving up alot.
But if he turns out the way they want him, he could replace TO. I mean, with his productivety dropping, Mr. Jones ought to get worried, not having any amazing WRs on his teams. Ofcourse TO might go on for a couple of years, but then again, he just might not.
I still think they paid to big a price for him though, a 2nd and 4th should've been enough, taking in account his age.

One couldn't see this coming now could they.. TO is popping off weekly.
Gotta love that Jerry has little touch in building a team.. Jimmy made the Cowboys what they were.. Jerry just doesn't have that feel.
http://www.profootballwe...s/2008/nfceast110908.htmQuote: Cowboys sources say WR Roy E. Williams is starting to show some frustration over the fact that he hasnt been used more in his three games with the club (three catches for 38 yards and one TD), which already has to raise doubts about a Williams-Terrell Owens pairing working over the long term. With so many mouths and egos to feed, it might be difficult for QB Tony Romo and coordinator Jason Garrett to make everyone happy.
