It will be interesting to see if this kid wants to validate the Packers stunning him with where they selected him and prove he was worth it or if he just slums it.

Khyri Thornton was quick to admit it. The defensive lineman was surprised — perhaps even stunned — when the Green Bay Packers called his name with the first of their two third-round draft picks in the NFL draft.

This takes me back to when Mike "sleepy" Sherman drafted big ol' James Lee out of Oregon State. That guy was stunned he was drafted by us, as he wasn't expecting to be drafted, but he was only a 5th rounder. He never did diddly.

Hoping for better this time.

We all were a little stunned, Khyri...we all were. Haha.

That's funny.

"Painful Moments... by Jack Handey..."

"When the Packers drafted me, I was completely stunned."
"We all were Khyri... We all were."

The great Ted Thompson deemed you too valuable to take a chance on letting you get past that 1st of his 3rd round picks.

We will totally dismiss the fact that unlike ANY of your contemporaries, you were selected far BEFORE you THOUGHT YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN.

That Ted is brilliant, Khyri. He's got you figured out better than you do.

Ya, right.

This is the same situation as Mike Neal. Nobody expected him to be drafted as early as he was. Mike has been somewhat disappointing, but has had a lot of nagging injuries. We'll see what Khyri is all about soon enough.

Was funny when we drafted Mike Neal and we got the same type of "we could have gotten him in round 5 or 6" type of comments. Then a picture of Dallas draft board is leaked and they had him in the 3rd round.

If you haven't seen this guy, go look at the clip of the rooks first day at Packers.com... He is literally a combo of Rick James and Arsenio Hall.

Apparently this guy has played every position on the D line. That has value. Now to see which position he plays best :)

When it's all said and done we'll be referring to Reggie White as the preview to Khyri Thornton.

What you're saying is Khyri Thornton will amass over 120 sacks and fail to win a championship until he leaves via free agency and is in his fourth season with said new team?

I did like this quote from Arsenio James, B!

from JSOnline.com:

"People who know football know about me," Thornton said Friday. "People who know the ins and outs of football know about me. People who don't know football will know about me. It may not be this year, it may not be next year. But they will know about me.

"I will help this team get back to a championship."

---Love the guys who think about the big picture. That last quote... Yeah, buddy bring us 14.

Zero2Cool (3h) : Hi 😊😉
TheKanataThrilla (8h) : I guess I should have did a refresh when I walked away from the computer.
TheKanataThrilla (8h) : Peters is 25 with one year left on his contract at just over $3M
Zero2Cool (10h) : Mel Kiper sticks with Marcus Davenport to GB in 2nd mock
Zero2Cool (11h) : As for Marcus Peters, how old is he an what's his contract years left?
Zero2Cool (11h) : Packers got tired of Sitton's antics.
Zero2Cool (11h) : Sitton was released not because of play or salary, but personality. He will not be re-signed.
TheKanataThrilla (11h) : If we are planning on possibly cutting Cobb I can see the 2nd round pick. A second round pick for Peters is a pretty good deal.
Smokey (13h) : I'd offer Cobb + a 3rd round pick + a 6th round pick in 2019 for the CB Peters from KC.
TheKanataThrilla (13h) : I guess that is a highter round pick
TheKanataThrilla (13h) : Suggestion was a 2nd round pick. I would want a lower round pick. I think that is too much. A 3rd or 4th seems about right.
Smokey (13h) : Cobb and WHAT PICK ?
TheKanataThrilla (14h) : A suggestion I saw was a trade of Cobb and a Pick for Peters. I think that would be a great move.
Smokey (17h) : Sitton was drafted be GB in 2008, not a young man at this point, but still is a "bear" of a man.
Cheesey (21-Feb) : Sitton? Maybe if the price is right.
Cheesey (21-Feb) : I doubt the Packers would try to resign Sutton. But who knows? If the price is right?
Zero2Cool (20-Feb) : Bears declining option on Josh Sitton. He'll be Free Agent.
Zero2Cool (20-Feb) : Chiefs CB Marcus Peters trade rumors -- come to Packers!
Smokey (20-Feb) : Join us in Packershome and be part of the discussion today .

Nonstopdrivel (19-Feb) : Rockmolder's avatar is so fucking sexy.
gbguy20 (19-Feb) : never seen the interview before. tough to listen to. can't believe it was 7 years ago

Zero2Cool (13-Feb) : Based off 2017 records, Packers have toughest schedule for 2018
Smokey (13-Feb) : Wow, tough new 2018 Packer Schedule !
