This interviewer asks nothing but leading and yes/no questions. His bias drips from his every word. He has no skills whatsoever and should not have a job with a paper as supposedly prestigious as the Journal Sentinal. I've seen better interviews in my university paper, and that isn't even worth the cheap paper it's printed on.

I applaud Ted Thompson for giving Mickey Mouse answers to these Mickey Mouse questions. If I were this reporter's editor, he'd be collecting unemployment tomorrow.

There are more talented writers with more sports knowlege on this and other forums like it than the sports writers in America. The guys I loathe are the east coasters who treat the rest of the country in a condescending manner. I have learned more about the GBP in PH and PF than I could ever reading sports articles.

After reading that, it's obvious he was trying to get Ted Thompson into saying something he could use against him. But Ted Thompson was onto him and didn't make any mistakes.
Kind of like a tennis match.

If you really want a good chuckle regarding sports journalism, give this one a little thought.

We have a very active thread (right now it is just below this thread) discussing our 13 free agents.

Actually, it's mostly discussing Nick Collins, but that's besides the point.

My point is this, regarding those 13 free agents...and the sports journalists.

Why do they insist on asking Ted about McCarthy's decisions.

Once they are on the team, who plays, who stays, who goes. Those are all McCarthy decisions.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

I agree with you that the media often mix up who does what, but I'm pretty sure Ted Thompson is involved in the decisions regarding who gets cut.

He is the personnel man after all, MM won't cut a player and they tell Ted Thompson he has a roster space free so go get me a new player.

It's discussed as a group but Ted Thompson is a big part of who is on the 53 man roster.

Seeing Ted Thompson is in charge of the money and contracts i believe he has alot to do with who is and isn't on the team.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Part of me wonders if the reporter's tough, ball breaking, aggressive attitude, works against him. Trying to force Ted Thompson (or most people) into a corner, with accusing 'yes or no' questions doesn't seem very clever.

You've got to play it much smarter. Mix it up a bit and give him a few open questions to get him talking at length on his own terms and let him talk until he says something interesting.

beast (2-Aug) : I believe it's technically against the CBA rules, but Jerry just calls it a simple unofficial chat... and somehow gets away with it.
beast (2-Aug) : Jerry Jones is infamous for ̶n̶e̶g̶o̶t̶i̶a̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ chatting with players one on one... and going around the agent.
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Oo just saw a blurb saying that Dallas negotiated directly with Parsons and not through his agent

Mucky Tundra (30-Jul) : Zero, regarding Ewers, you are correct.
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Sadly, this might be our life for awhile. I could put it on another host, but seems it was slower, although more stable
beast (30-Jul) : How long will it be down?
beast (30-Jul) : RIP site 😭
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site will die, I have to restart it.
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Quinn stinks. Lot of underthrows. (my guess)

Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site sure seems to be down more than up
