Cops: Perturbed Florida mother took matters into her own hands

FEBRUARY 15--A Florida woman upset that a visitor to her childs school was showing too much cleavage was arrested yesterday morning after she allegedly took matters into her own hands, literally.

Laura Campanello, 43, was leaving a meeting with her 17-year-old sons guidance counselor at Bayshore High School when she passed a woman whom she believes was too scantily clad. After Campanello asked the woman--who was visiting the Bradenton school with an enrolling student--to cover up her chest area, an argument broke out.

According to a Manatee County Sheriff Office affidavit, Deputy Greg Jenkins, the schools resourse officer, arrived on the scene and advised Campanello that the other woman was an adult and that I could not tell this lady how to dress.

Oh then I canjust do this, Campanello responded. As detailed by Jenkins, Campanello then allegedly pulled the front of her blouse down reached in with both hands and pulled both breast out and squeezed them together. The impromptu display in front of several onlookers resulted in Campanellos arrest for disorderly conduct.

Campanello, pictured in the above mug shot, was booked into the county jail on the misdemeanor rap. After posting $220 cash bond, she was freed early this morning.

In an interview, Campanello, a former Spanish teacher from Ohio whose various medical conditions forced a recent move to Florida, denied exposing her breasts. I am a proper person, she said, adding that Deputy Jenkins was a chubby, rude, lewd, and lascivious man who had it out for her.

Campanello said yesterdays incident has left her suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, and that she intends to sue the school, sheriff, and jail for their mistreatment of her.

Disorderly conduct? What a bullshit charge. Had a man committed the same action, he'd have been charged with sexual assault.

Oops, I think you're right. The "her" in that sentence is a bit ambiguous, so I interpreted to mean she took the other woman's boobs out.

Even so, if a guy let it all hang out, he'd be charged with some sort of sexual offense. In many jurisdictions, public urination (by men) is an offense worthy of going on the sex offender registry.

First time I read it, I thought the same thing as you Rourke. It wasn't until wpr said something that I realized I screwed up and the end of the world was ... sorry wrong discussion ... I was trying to figure out how she got out on such a low bond. Not to mention if this happened pulled the front of her blouse down reached in with both hands and pulled both breast out and squeezed them together. ... I could see HOW she could have done both, pull the blouse down and pull the boobies out, but there would have to have been some complacency with the other woman for that to have happened, or the "attacker" has some quick hands!!

time for you to go do a little research on the hands, speed, squeezing and reflex of the boobies issue. report back to us your findings.

Along with your average bail fee.

Ha, I think I was over complicating the scenario. I was thinking of it as several motions, but you could do it very easily with one motion.

TheKanataThrilla (9-Aug) : NFL Network is broadcasting the game tonight, but not in Canada. Not sure why as no local television is showing the game.
beast (8-Aug) : But the Return from IR designations had to be applied by the 53 man cutdown.
beast (8-Aug) : It's a new rule, so it's not clear, but my understanding was that they could be IR'd at any time
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : *had to be IRed at 53
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : beast, I thought the designate return from IR players had to be IR at cutdowns to 53, not before
beast (8-Aug) : It's a brand new rule, either last season or this season, prior, all pre-season IRs were done for the season
beast (8-Aug) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
beast (8-Aug) : I think the NFL recently changed the IR rules, so maybe the season might not be over for OL Glover.
