I still think it was the right call, but it was a hell of a hit!

Now that is how you hit a QB, when you come from the front side and the ball is being held low.

Head on the ball, wrap and tackle. Fumble forced.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

There's a different angle where it shows he hit with the FRONT, not the crown of the helmet.

Kid needs to be encouraged. I just don't like the call.

Glad I didn't watch this game. That hit looks awesome. I am sure it swung momentum in their favor.

I hated that penalty. That was a fantastic play by Perry. Another of a litany of game changing poor calls by officials on the Packers. The other notable piss poor call that changed the game was the DPI on Shields, who also made a near perfect play in coverage, while, himself, being interfered with.

Fucking piss me off...

That's 2 bad, game changing calls against us v. IND. I think there were 3 missed calls v. NO. 3 v. SEA. We have to be in double digits on this, and it just is not fair play. While we blew all of our losses with poor play, poor officiating shouldn't be allowed to compound that.

The way I see it, we should have at least 2 more wins, with our team playing poorly. That is usually the mark of a good team, when you get the Ws despite not playing your best. The refs have made horribly bad calls in at least two of our three losses, completely affecting the outcome of those games in our opponent's favor...

Awesome play by Nick Perry!

Geez. Maybe the NFL needs to bring in a bunch of 5'5" DL. Then of course, there will be a new rule for hitting the QB in the ding ding. Well, scratch that idea.

You cannot lead with your head.. simple as that. The Rule is two part.. one defining the crown the other leading with the head.

Great play by Perry, except when he went to lower the boom, slide the head to the side and nail him.

I hate the rule, especially in light that it isn't reciprocated to protect the defensive players, but Perry should have adjusted his tackle.

This angle is hard, but the angle closer to what the Referee had, it is very clear that he lead with the head. Matters not the place upon the helmet that made contact, it was led with the head.

Was it the worst I seen, nope not even the worst I have seen not called. But it was leading with the head.

Now, honestly, the NFL should not have the rule on the books unless it is helmet to helmet, as it really is designed to protect the tacklers more so than the player being struck. I get it the lower levels, to teach, here, piss on it, you want to damage your neck, so be it.

Personally, the rules protecting the candy ass QB's are bullshit, but I can't fault the Referee (in this case) from enforcing the horseshit rule. The NFL is guilty there.. I think they want you to lay out the pillow first, fluff it than smack the QB.

I agree with you Pack93z. The ref called the right penalty, but the rule itself is b.s.

What does the NFL want next? After each sack, the defensive player has to write an apology to the QB's Mom?

The rule that bit Nick Perry is designed to eliminate players from using the helmet as a 'weapon'. As I said during chat, right call, but rule I disagree with.

The Sam Shields interference bothered me greatly compared to this one, especially since it wasn't the first time this season.

I still think that is stupid because running backs do it on almost every single fucking play. It is kind of hypocritical.
