Yes and perhaps the reason Jenkins wanted it BEFORE the market set his worth, is because he wanted to get more than the market would allow.

Keeping Jenkins would have been great, but Ted has a list of priorities. Who do you want to let go in order to keep Jenkins?

I don't fault Jenkins, nor the Packers. Packers had to be smart, and Jenkins approaching 30, coming off a Super Bowl win ... wanted to cash in. I can't fault him for that.

As for failing to recover from a loss of one player, quit your search at Nick Collins. It really is a bummer people fail to recognize the talent and leadership he had and his importance to the team and instead bestow that credit to ... Cullen freaking Jenkins.

We can certainly agree to disagree on Cullen Jenkins. But, I was sick seeing how stuck management was on not being more proactive in keeping us in play for Jenkins' services. As a matter of fact, we were quite the opposite. I knew his injury history as well as any fan of the Packers. I just happened to think he was a far more important part of our defense, one we should not be without if we were looking to repeat, in spite of the injuries he fought through in his career with GB. And I felt that way before it all hit, while the posturing was happening. But, that's all history.

Enough with that.

As for the OL, I often wonder about the true talent level. A different approach to the Giants, one where we ran far more might have helped. A more aggressive, run blocking dominant game plan. Had we stuck with the run, maybe this thread wouldn't exist... know what I mean? Maybe our guys aren't as bad as they were made out to be after giving up on the run.

Sunday was tough to gauge, being the train wreck that it was... Was it the talent level at numerous positions? The coaching? The approach? The injuries? Or, just the perfect storm?

Nick was a once in a generation talent.

What happened to him was imho unnecessary, which makes it hurt that much more.

With all these losses, we're still in it. THANK YOU TED THOMPSON!

Is anybody else concerned about our DL depth, especially at NT? I'm starting to get more concerned about Pickett and Raji making it through the season, and having enough juice to be effective in a playoff run.

These are players I would consider signing to finish out the season: Howard Green and Daniel Muir
They are known quantities, and I think they would both like to get the shot to contribute. I'd rather have either one over WR Jeremy Ross or LB Vic So'oto, both of whom occupy roster spots. Hell, I'd rather add BOTH Muir and Green... give Pick & Raji some rest.

Others:
Gerard Warren
Phillip Merling (DE)
Brian Price (2010 2nd Rnd pick by TB)
Nick Hayden (former Badger)
Jimmy Kennedy (former Ram and 1st round pick 2003, played with Pickett)
Lamar Divens and Carlton Powell might be worth kicking tires on.
Antonio Dixon ? Young guy who may be of service. Former Eagle.

To all those wishing Ted had given pretty big money to Jenkins, who would you then not like to be able to sign? Rodgers? Matthews? Jennings?

Because the problem is, when you develop good players, you have to give them big money or replace them. If you give one big money, you are probably forced to let 2 others go.

Went 15-2 last year without Jenkins. Think most teams would trade records with us?

He had his prided hurt because GB didn't pony up more and quicker than what they did so he went on to Phil and what was suppose to be this great dream team.

One has to think now the Hargrove's suspension has been lifted.. we might be inclined to take another run at him.

Porf, just added some options to my last post, but dropping them here as well.

The thing I don't get, is we knew Raji needed less reps this season. We also knew Pickett was super valuable, and not getting any younger. As this season has worn on, we've kept some players out to save reps on their bodies till late season/playoffs to keep them fresh. I just do not get how we are overlooking Pick and Raji with regards to this.

Ted, sign Green and Muir, and give us a better chance to hold the middle of our D for the run!!!

Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Oo just saw a blurb saying that Dallas negotiated directly with Parsons and not through his agent
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : I assumed that both guys will get paid, just a matter of when or how we get there
Zero2Cool (1-Aug) : McLaurin nor Micah going anywhere. They will get money
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : the Synder years or do they take care of one of their own?
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Do the Commanders risk losing a top WR with an emerging QB just because he's turning 30 and potentially risk damaging the rebuild from
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Turns 30 this September, plays at a high level and Washington has some cap space I believe
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : More interesting is Washington with Terry McLaurin

Mucky Tundra (30-Jul) : Zero, regarding Ewers, you are correct.
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Sadly, this might be our life for awhile. I could put it on another host, but seems it was slower, although more stable

beast (30-Jul) : RIP site 😭
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site will die, I have to restart it.
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Quinn stinks. Lot of underthrows. (my guess)

dfosterf (30-Jul) : All I've experienced was late at night or early morning. I just figured you were doing something in the background
