Like I posted in the other Packers/Vikings thread, Vikings struggled outdoors this year and I don't see that changing when they come to a frigid Lambeau Field to play a night game. Ponder will not have another game like this past Sunday and I think Aaron Rodgers and Co. are pissed off at their missed opportunity at the #2 seed.

McCarthy needs to put his foot down on that Vikings throat and never ease up.
Capers needs to stop with the 3 man pass rush. IT NEVER WORKS!

I think Woodson brings the missing element to this defense. Rudolph is clearly the main target and Woodson can cover him. He will also bring more pressure, forcing Ponder to make some mistakes. Ponder was pressured quiet a bit on Sunday but it seemed like they always had to right play called or a horse shoe stuck up their ass.

I think a lot of people are forgetting that Randall Cobb was not a part of this offense that put up 34 points on Sunday. The offense had miscues and mistakes and still managed to score 34. I think the beginning of the game would have been differently had the Packers not given the ball to Ryan Grant for very minimal to no gains. I also think it would have been different had Cobb been a part of the offense. The Vikings will not be able to stop Jennings, Cobb, Jones, Finley, and Nelson (if he plays).
-Cobb scores twice Saturday night.

Lambeau Field slows down the pass rush of the Vikings and gives Rodgers a few more seconds to make a throw. I wish I could say this game would be a blow out but the Vikings are in the playoffs for a reason...they are a hot team. Time for the Packers and Lambeau to cool this bitch down.

Probably a good idea.. with the late game and a full afternoon of tailgating, this should not affect anyone's experience.

Packers will cut off alcohol sales early

GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Green Bay Packers are taking extra precaution to help make sure fans at Lambeau Field adhere to the stadium's code of conduct for Saturday night's playoff game.

The biggest change from normal stadium policy will be that alcohol sales will cease at the beginning of the third quarter, as opposed to the customary practice of ending alcohol sales at the end of the third quarter.

In an email, the Packers explained that the "unique circumstances" of the game – it being a wild-card playoff game against the division rival Minnesota Vikings on a Saturday at 8 p.m. ET – was the reason for the change.

"Packers fans, in general, provide an exciting, enjoyable environment at Lambeau Field, and we're expecting that again Saturday night," said Doug Collins, the Packers' director of corporate security/risk management. "Night games previously have presented us with more challenges than normal with regard to inappropriate behavior. We are asking fans to enjoy the game responsibly and also help us out by reporting poor conduct to stadium and law enforcement personnel, either in person, or by text at the number posted in the stadium.

"The vast majority of our fans – 99 percent – follow the code of conduct, and we appreciate that. Those that don't will be addressed so that others may continue to enjoy the game. We want to provide the best experience for everyone who attends."

The Packers are also recommending that fans enter the stadium gates early, with enhanced security screening measures remaining in place.

It will be the second time the two teams meet in as many weeks. Minnesota beat Green Bay 37-34 last Sunday on a late field goal to make the playoffs.

Honestly, I think the fact that we came out flat doomed us, more than just the point deficit we got into. It allowed Ponder to get into a rythm, and Ponder's solid play was the difference maker. Peterson's going to get his yards, we did a good job of not allowing any home run runs but we can still improve a bit.

If the Packers can come out and score some points in the first quarter and get the crowd into it, the Vikings are in trouble.

Porforis' prediction: Packers 33, Vikings 27. Peterson gets 150-200 yards, Ponder throws for 220 or so with 2 TDs and a pick. Mason Crosby goes 2/3.

I also believe that it was not a matter of coming out flat last week as it was the environment there to start the game made it difficult at the start.

I think the Vikes D had the advantage and a half step headstart and it didn't help that our D allowed long drives and kept the O off the field other than the two three and outs to begin the game.

There is such a thing as home field advantage and IMO our D did not do what they needed to do to take the crowd out of the game and help let the O get rolling sooner. Had our defense reciprocated by stopping the Vikes O early on the crowd would have been taken out along with the early momentum.

Watch. We will get some early stops, get an early 10 point lead, and end up rolling over these guys. Be ready to pull this post up around 10:30 Saturday night. Green Bay 38, Vikes 17 and never really in this game.

The Vikings weren't getting push on him, and he gave the Packers the opportunities to look like the fools that they did trying to tackle AP. For me, BJ was one of the bright spots on the defense last week. If BJ maintains that level and others man up behind him I could see a dominant performance by the Packers.
