Perry and Neal are both 4-3 DE's being forced to play OLB. When are we ever going to learn this lesson? Wouldn't it be easier to just move back to a 4-3 and let Matthews line up all over the defense then to keep up this charade of playing a 3-4, because we really suck at it?

Yeah but Pickett and Raji are still being manhandled by one blocker about 80% of the time - and this has nothing to do with Matthews. Our little sloth problem can't be ignored any longer. The solution is to get rid of our lard asses, like my esteemed co-poster Texas points out. Those guys are being paid to eat up blockers not blocker.

When our Oline is having success they do the same things. Starting on one block and being able to pass them off and help another. If the LT is forced to worry about the edge, it makes it harder on the rest and easier on our Dline.

The linebackers aren't doing the defensive line any favors.

I know you can't make every tackle and I know the play doesn't always come to you but he should really try to get involved, hit the players, force a fumble, do something that is not just standing there looking.

he had 1 tackle and 1 assist last game. And to think he was offered 8 million in a contract year
