Beast's 53 Man Roster Prediction
QB (2): Love, Willis
Teams usually only keep 2 these days.
RB (3): Jacobs, Wilson, Brooks
As seen at the bottom, RB Lloyd will get the Packers first return to IR status during the 53 man cutdowns, which is a brand new rule, where teams are allowed to use up to 2 of their 8 return to IR status on players during the 53 man roster cutdown and they basically act like PUP players.
WR (6): Doubs, Reed, Wicks, Golden, Williams, Heath
I think Health with his blocking and STs work stocks around a bit longer, at least until Watson and/or Williams get healthy. Watson is on the PUP.
TE (4): Kraft, Musgrave, Fitzpatrick, Sims
Seems like they're more interested in 2 TEs again and that they seem to like Fitzpatrick as a blocking TE.
OT (4): Tom, Walker, Morgan, Belton
IOL (5): Jenkins, Banks, Rhyan, Kinnard, Monk
I think we could get another surprise change here still, as I feel like only the top 7 (before Kinnard) earned a spot, which is why they brought in Kinnard to my guess firm up the potential depth issue. Monk's best asset right now might be the fact the other Centers, could potentially be FAs next off-season, with Rhyan being a FA and the team being able to potentially save $20 million by releasing or trading Jenkins. Though I think current plan is to pay and keep Jenkins, assuming he stays healthy and plays up to his potential at Center. OL Williams is on the PUP.
DT (6): Clark, Wyatt, Brooks, Wooden, Stackhouse, Brinson
Alright, I probably went too heavy on DTs. But I didn't know who to release and the Packers will probably be releasing one of them. But Wooden looked better than I expected at NT, and they're trying to develop Stackhouse and Brinson.
DE (5): Gary, Van Ness, Enagbare, Cox, Sorrell
A little unless how bad Sorrell's injury is, they potential might use a Return from IR spot on him. Or cut one of the DTs to and add another DE. Oliver is on the PUP.
LB (5): Cooper, Walker, McDuffie, Hopper, Welch
So much for the Simmons hype, though they potentially might keep him for STs still. That being said, Gute has been keeping 5 LBs with usually the last two mainly playing STs. Again, could cut another DT and keep Simmons.
CB (5): Nixon, Hobbs, Valentine, Melton, Ballentine
Well this off-season has been an interesting shakeup of the CB position. Added Hobbs, switch Melton's position and got Ballentine back.
S (5): McKinney, Williams, Bullard, Anderson, Oladapo
Safety position could get a bit interesting, Anderson is a valuable STer, and improving on defense, but do you trust him to stay healthy? They're trying to develop Oladspo but they have a couple interesting Safety depth positions.
ST (3): McManus, Whelan, Orzech
I don't expect any surprises here.
Return from IR : RB Lloyd
PUP: WR Watson, OL Williams, DE Oliver
