I thought the only major injury was Bulaga, Cobb was a minor injury, Jordy is 4-6 weeks, but its a knee problem that has been nagging since college, and was not a major injury, and neal is ready to practice.

we have not lost a game due to injury yet, so I am not so concerned...

The excuses from people are laughable. Please don't blame it on anyone except football and football itself. I don't even wanna read everyones individuals opinions on this topic because it's the same thing over and over, preached in every packer forum. Probably every team forum there is.

This is the time of year everyone is returning to football. Players are just starting to run, jump, and hit eachother. There's gonna be injury's right now more than ever.

Sure blame staff blah, blah, blah. There's no one person out there that has a magical mind and hands to prevent these things. I don't know anything about the S&C coaches, they probably aren't the greatest in the league, but they can't prevent guys falling over on each other, they can't prevent guys tripping/falling during football drills, even if you enforce it, they can't tell players that you can't move this way you can't move that way. I mean come on...

I know it's frustrating but get over it people.

How many TCs have I followed as an ardent fan? Quite a few. Mike McCarthy is VERY slow to change, to a fault. It is his own staff problems that are allowing us to have two or three times the injuries of some other teams, completely unaddressed.

Amazingly, this was a point of emphasis at their season's end review. I'm not seeing ANY serious changes made to address this.

They give their players plenty of rest if they're injured, I don't know how it's the staffs fault though besides bringing in players that have injure issues.

As far as I know, there hasn't been a comprehensive study to try and correlate why ACL/ligament tears occur. The reasons probably vary greatly from individual player to player.

But it is the hamstring/muscle pull type injuries that concern a fan.. at least me. Or weight lifting injuries that we have seen, most notable that I can think of was Harrell. Some of that most definitely falls on the player themselves in getting themselves ready via stretching / routine, but that also falls on the staff that are to ensure that the players are keeping and getting themselves ready.

Even with the restrictions the players wanted in the last CBA, the players are in town, under the care of the staff enough throughout the year that there should be no way we have players repeatedly having pull type / conditioning type injuries; at least to the frequency we do.

How many games have we lost over the last couple years because of those type injuries... players like Matthews seem to miss games each year because of them.

Are those all the strength coach completely? No, but it is a recurring issue under this group. And that, IMO, the staff does have some culpability in that.
