The Green Bay Packers have been heavily connected to Dallas Cowboys superstar Micah Parsons over the last few days. Now, the rumors have become a reality.
According to a report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Packers have indeed acquired the elite pass rusher from the Cowboys. In addition to the trade, Green Bay has also agreed to terms on a four-year, $188 million deal with Parsons.
Parsons was struggling to work out a new contract with Dallas. Things had gotten relatively ugly between the two parties, which has led to his trade to the Packers.
Green Bay making this move further solidifies their status as top-tier Super Bowl contenders. The franchise is not known for making blockbuster moves. Parsons goes down as arguably the biggest trade the Packers have ever made.
Matt Schneidman of The Athletic has reported that Green Bay will be sending at least two first-round pick in return for Parsons.
In addition to two first-round picks, the Packers have traded Kenny Clark to Dallas, according to NFL insider Dianna Russini.
