I can't remember a time where I really wanted to see the Pro Bowl other than when I knew I'd get a rare glimpse of watching Barry Sanders dazzle the world. I think it's time for it to be replaced.

I say, if you want to continue to have the game, great, have the game.

Schedule the Pro Bowl voting to be completed on the Friday before Wild Card weekend. That way players who shined later in the season get recognized.

Announce the teams a few weeks after the Super Bowl.

Have the Pro Bowl played in the middle of May, where it's warm in most locations and then have it played in locations that won't ever have a Super Bowl unless they build a dome. Cities like, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Pittsburgh (with a better field), Green Bay, etc ...

There's a set amount for players already participating in the game, however, increase this to further entice players to participate and also make the winner of the game reward far greater as well.

After the game is concluded, announce the player of the year awards, coaching awards, etc ... or perhaps announce them during half time?

Essentially make an event out of it and increase the dollars to get the stars to show up.

I miss the times where you could see what QB could throw the farthest, who the fastest man in the NFL was, bring those back, again, make an event out of it!

That would be my rough idea.

I agree, I just don't know about the month. What about a couple days before the draft? I think they should also have a like a skills challenge.

Shit can the Pro Bowl.

Make a game out with the Seniors that will be coming out, against the NFL Rookies.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

Another idea would be to have a leaguewide two-week break in the season and place the Pro Bowl in the middle of it, much like the MLB has an All Star break. Then all players nominated would have the opportunity to play if they so desired.

Ooh, that is a great idea. I don't know if the Seniors would ever come out on top, not being used to a pro system and all, but it'd be very amusing and another chance to see the prospects.

I wouldn't want only seniors in, though. I'd just invite all the top notch prospects.

I'm fond of the idea of a league wide bye week instead of this bull crap of a bye starting in what, week 4 through week 12? Complete teh bye's over a four week span if you're afraid to lose money.

I'd rather the pro bowl be played that week, but not a chance because of potential injury.

I think it should be held middle of the season, for reasons mentioned in the first post, and then have the offense and defense run the same plays every year to avoid worrying about installing a new defense/offense, blah blah. Set up 20 plays that are used always or something so there's no learning curve. they probably do this already.

i think it should be a huge event instead of jus the game. lets see who can run the fastest, jump the highest, catch the most passes in a row, best passer accuracy, throw the farthest, kick the deepest, punt the highest, etc ... make it FUN
