Wow...he was way off. To be fair though, a lot of people loved the Brohm pick and thought he would eventually wind up being better than Rodgers. I still can't believe how bad he was/is.

To defend King Koopa's statement, I remember back when Brohm was picked, some on this forum were already predicting that Brohm would eventually take the starting job from Rodgers.

It's what I don't get. Brohm was a helluva beast in college and I was certain he was a better prospect than Matt Ryan.

Then he arrives in Green Bay and is arguably the worst QB I've seen ever.

And some where saying Matt Flynn would take over and some also said Ingle Martin would. That just proves that there were various opinions. That tends to happen on a DISCUSSION BOARD. 🙂

My question is ... if there was a LOT that thought Brohm would over take Rodgers as starter ... I'm asking who because I just don't remember that at all. And with the lack of supporting statements I'm guessing KingKoopa's statement was a gross exaggeration.

I just don't remember many pundits saying Brohm would overtake Rodgers other than those in this video. Most of the pundits (and fans) were sold on Rodgers after his '07 Cowboys performance.

Looks like that was August '09. And that's from this site. I'm looking for CNNSI.com or ESPN or someone noteworthy stating Brohm would supplant Rodgers. I just don't recall it and am not having luck finding it.

He was the new QB. A little more fresh than Rodgers, who we had seen playing horribly in the small amount of time he got in his first two years. It's obvious that some people where hestitant with Rodgers. And Brohm really did look good in the protected offense of Louisville, where his brother was in charge of the passing game.

I can imagine that people where pretty high on Brohm.
