They likely beat Seattle and Washington at home. Then Buffalo on the road, suddenly their 7-1. If they get to 7-1, we're in trouble.

But of course, it is the Bears, so who knows but the next three weeks of their schedule stresses me out.

He's fearing da Bears will be 7-1, kind of like how I feared it when a few of Sherman's teams would squeak into the Playoffs and immediately be humiliated.

It is a chaotic year in the NFL, and particularly in the NFC. This is just the kind of year when a team like the Bears can thrive. If I had to bet on the NFC North right now, I would put my money on them. The Packers aren't playing well, and the Vikings are in a little bit of a hole.

Their defense is real good and will continue to improve throughout the year. I think this division will tighten by the end. I don't see them running away with it but I do see them beating us another time and splitting with the Vikings.

I certainly didn't think the Bears were better than us when we played them. Lovie knows how to play the Packers, and obviously he sent some notes to Shanahan. In our two losses this year, we beat ourselves.

I doubt they run away with anything their schedule gets brutal in the latter half of the season starting with week 10 against division rival Minnesota. They don't really have an easy game the rest of the year from that point on. The Lions are no pushover and already technically but not technically beat them once.
