This is a great year for o-line talent in the draft. I really, really hope Ted Thompson takes full advantage ...

I think the key here is to look for true guards.. not conversion projects to guards. And to be honest.. I think it may be time to evaluate a stouter center as well and a leader along that line that will make the calls.. our communication along the line has been lacking for a couple of years.

All I watched all game long was our o-line. I knew this would be a huge test to see where the o-line is, and they failed miserably. I think Rodgers was a little afraid to throw downfield with his shoulder, as well. It's a very disappointing loss, but with the way AP plays, I figured we'd give one up to the Vikes this season. That doesn't make it any easier to digest the loss, but it really shows what we need to work on. We've all had questions about the o-line going into the season, so it's really no big surprise that they got exposed the way they did. Hopefully something can happen between now and Sunday, cause two loses in a row to divisional opponents won't sit well.

Agreed. I'd also see who/what is available via free agency or by other means. The O-line needs a total overhaul, IMO, and we need to look at that scheme as well -- just because the ZBS works in some situations doesn't make it a good solution in Green Bay.

I miss the days of the mean nasty centers like Winters and Flannigan.

tell me, did any of yesterday remind anyone of the Dallas game last year when Brett was in?

I would like to see replays of just when brett was under center

I was at the game. In warmups, Aaron was launching 50-60 yard bombs like they were nothing. His arm is fine. If anything, he didn't want to open up and let one fly because he knew if he did, Leber or Allen or Williams or Williams or Edards or etc. etc. etc. would put there helmet in his ribs. I don't blame him. the o-line yesterday was abysmal. Totally embarrassing. I hate the loss, because of how ugly many Vikings fans were to me, and because of the fact that they played "Bang the drum all day" on the PA after Crosby missed the late field goal. But, the Packers didn't deserve to win. I agree, we need an overhaul on the O-line, and I'm thinking along the same lines as 93z. Move Colledge out to where he's supposed to play, and solidify some decent guards. And for crying out loud, pull it together and get them to stop killing drives with mental-error penalties.

Clifton's play was inexcusable. Not only could he not contain a DE with a grade 3 separated shoulder (I wonder how much shit they injected into Allen before the game) and gave up a safety, but he had a false start penalty on a TD pass to Jennings that would've sealed the victory.

I blame a lot of players and coaching calls, but right now I'm pissed at our veteran LOT.

well, on the negated TD to Jennings, the CB saw the false start and didn't cover because he knew there was a penalty. but, yeah. Clifton got handled all day long.
